Die Maschine besteht im wesentlichen aus einem auf dem Bett 1 der Maschine befestigten Bügelbrett 2, auf das die zu bügelnden Gegenstände zu liegen kommen. In einem Abstand von dem Bügelbrett 2 ist an dem Bett ein aufrechter Ständer 4 befestigt. In diesem Ständer sowie in einem an dem Bett 1 befestigten Lagerblock 5 ist eine Welle 6 drehbar gelagert, die mit einer festen Riemscheibe 7 und einer Losscheibe 8 versehen ist. Die Welle 6 ist an ihrem Ende mit einer Kurbel 9 versehen, in der Löcher 10 angebracht sind (Fig. 1). In eins dieser Löcher kann ein Zapfen 16 gesteckt werden, durch den das eine Ende einer Stange 13 gelenkig mit der Kurbel 9 verbunden wird. Das andere Ende der Stange ist bei 14 an dem Ansatz 15 des Bügeleisens 12 angelenkt, das bei der Drehung der Kurbel 9 durch die Stange 13 auf dem Bügelbrett 2 hin und her geschoben wird. Das Bügeleisen ist von seiner Mitte nach den Enden hin verjüngt. Fest auf der Welle 6 sitzt ein Zahnrad 18, mit dem ein Zahnrad 19 in Eingriff steht, das auf einer in dem Ständer 4 drehbar gelagerten Spindel 20 befestigt ist, auf der ebenfalls ein Zahnrad 21 befestigt ist, das durch ein Zahn rad 22 mit Zahnrädern 28, 29 in Eingriff steht, die je mit einem Zahnrad 32 bzw. 33 in Eingriff stehen (Fig. 1). Zahnrad 22 sitzt auf einer im Ständer 4 drehbar gelagerten Spindel 23, während die Zahnräder 28, 29 lose auf Spindeln 26, 27 sitzen, die in bogenförmigen Schlitzen 24, 25 verstellt und durch Muttern 30 bzw. 31 festgestellt werden können. In ähnlicher Weise sind die die Zahnräder 32, 33 tragenden Spindein 34, 35 in bogenförmigen Schlitzen 36, 37 des Ständers 4 einstellbar und mittels der Muttern 38, 39 feststellbar gemacht. Mit den Rädern 32, 33 drehen sich Daumen 40, 41, die in bestimmten Zeitpunkten mit einer Rolle 43 an dem einen Arm eines Winkelhebels 42 zusammentreffen, der an dem oberen Ende des Ständers 4 aufgezapft ist.
