Abstract

The Parent Patent described a bar screen for storm sewage relief channels. This has now been improved by ensuring an automatic clearance of matter retained by the bar screen, without requiring any maintenance. The bar screen is downward inclined in the direction of flow of the storm sewage and terminates in a V-shaped collection chamber. A discharge pipe at its apex carries away any matter, retained by the bar screen, by the velocity of flow. The inlet end of the bar screen is fitted with an overflow and fluid, free from suspended matter, which passes the screen flows over the collection chamber and into a drainage duct at a lower level.

Description

The invention relates to a rinsing rake for holding back substances in the mixed water when rain is discharged in mixed water channels, in particular in rain overflows and basin inlets. For economic and technical reasons, it is necessary to provide rain relief in mixed water sewers. A part of the mixed water is conveyed from a rain overflow structure directly to the sewage treatment plant, while the larger amount of water is conducted via a rain overflow basin to the sewage treatment plant or is discharged directly from the rain overflow structure into a body of water. If the discharge water is fed directly into the body of water, it is particularly important to remove the undissolved pollutants from this mixed water as far as possible. In most cases, the mixed water is currently discharged directly into the receiving water without the interposition of a rain overflow basin. This water does not flow through any computer system, so that the pollution load that is given into the water is very high. The installation of a rake has so far been omitted for reasons of cost and maintenance. In individual cases in which the mixed water is roughly mechanically cleaned in a rainwater clarification basin before it is discharged into the receiving water, the undissolved pollutants can be retained to a large extent, but the removal of the substances from the large-area basin floors is difficult. Often these substances remain in the dry basin for a long time. The result is unpleasant smells.

The invention is based on the object of creating a computer system that works automatically and maintenance-free, in particular for rain overflows and basin inlets in mixed water channels.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the mixed water flowing against the rake conveys the substances hitting the rake with a downward flow into a line leading to the sewage treatment plant and the overflow water is largely free of such substances.

The advantages achieved with the invention are that the mixed water flowing from the rain overflows into the water or into the rain overflow basin is largely freed of the undissolved substances and thus an unnecessary burden on the receiving waters or the laborious removal of the substances from the large floors of the There is no rain overflow basin and the necessary pumping out of the mixed water from these basins is possible without any problems.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and is described in more detail below:

Aufbau der Erfindung:Structure of the invention:

In a rain overflow or basin inlet structure 1, a rake 2 inclined against the direction of flow is arranged from galvanized sheet steel sheets, which ends at the top on a vertical baffle 3 and at the bottom on a cover plate 15 which rests on a guide box 16 made of concrete. The guide box 16 is connected to a drain line 17 made of steel. Under the drain line 17 there is a drain chamber 18 from which a relief line 19 branches off.

Wirkungsweise der Erfindung:Mode of operation of the invention:

The substances arriving with the mixed water collide with the rake 2 and are conveyed in a downward flow between the wide rake blades into a guide box 16 and further into a pipeline 17 leading to the sewage treatment plant. The mixed water largely freed of the disturbing substances flows through the rake 2 and, after overflowing the guide box 16, falls into a drainage chamber 18. From here it flows in a relief line 19 into a rain overflow basin or directly into a body of water.
