Description
Derartige Audiometer siiidi. B. bekannt aus der DE-PS 10 16 894.The invention relates to an audiometer according to the preamble of claim 1. Such audiometers siiidi. B. known from DE-PS 10 16 894.
In known audiometers with level points was for the various transducers, z. B. Airborne sound receiver, Bone conduction sound headphones, loudspeakers, only one level control for each side to be tested intended. An audiometer with one channel for the left ear and one for the right ear, i.e. with two channels, has only two level controls. Since in every measuring device for Hörschwelisn Pegr 'of minus 120 dB Re 1 V are common, kinine voltages are switched behind the attenuator (level control, decibel divider) and distributed to the individual, above-mentioned sound transducers, which are also referred to as transmitters. These Distribution of the very small voltages is difficult and was previously only possible with mechanical switches can be satisfactorily resolved. However, this means that they are difficult to control remotely and, moreover, are mechanical contacts in these distributors are very prone to failure. These disadvantages are particularly important Constructions in which several measuring points are connected to one signal source. This is e.g. B. at Audiometers for the auditory examination of groups are particularly the case.
The invention is based on the object of an audiometer according to the preamble of the patent claim 1 Safe and largely interference-free transmission of the measurement sound when operated remotely to achieve the level change. This object is achieved according to the invention by the in the characterizing Part of this claim resolved specified measures.
By relocating the level control between the converter and the signal distribution, an unlimited Number of measuring points are used because the signal to be transported high level of z. B. 20 dB Re 1 V can have. This is also the reason why the shielding of the signal lines only low requirements still have to be made without an increase in the interference that occurs is to be feared. In particular, the humming noise on the lines is irrelevant because that Signal / noise ratio is always high. The design of line connections, such as plugs, is also important easier and safer because of the high level.
»Protected Analog Switches« und »CMOS 10+12 Bit Monolithic Multiplying D/A Converters« der Fa.In addition, the fact that semiconductor switches are used instead of mechanical switches opens up the possibility that all measuring points connected to the signal line can have their own level controller which can be controlled digitally. In addition, different electrical properties of the transducers etc. can be taken into account at the level adjusters, for example the level of different control voltages for airborne sound and bone conduction headphones.
Commercially available integrated modules known as digital / analog converters can be used as level adjusters (cf., for example, switches of the AD 7510 and AD 7530 group, which are listed in data sheets Dl CMOS "Protected Analog Switches" and "CMOS 10 + 12 Bit Monolithic Multiplying D / A Converters «from
Analog Devices Route 1 Industrial Park P.O. Box 280. "Nordwood, Mass. 02062, USA sowie Datenblatt DAC-76 »Comdac Companding D/A Converter. Analog Devices Route 1 Industrial Park P.O. Box 280. "Nordwood, Mass. 02062, USA and data sheet DAC-76 »Comdac Companding D / A Converter. Monolithic Logarithmic DAC "from Precision Monoiithics Inc. 1500 Space Park Drive, Santa Clara, California 95050 USA). The level control can be done independently for each measuring station so that the whole system can be remote controlled.
Details and advantages of the invention are further explained below with reference to the figures.
in der Fi g. i ist ein einfaches Meßsystem gezeichnet undin Fig. i shows a simple measuring system and
In FIG. 1, a tone generator t is shown as an example, which feeds two sound transducers 6 and 7 via a line 2 and actuators 3, 4. The block 5 should stand for an interface and indicate that the two sound transducers 6 and 7 can be expanded to any number. The level is controlled by digital signal lines 8 and 9, which carry up to
J5 16 bit gleichzeitig übertragen können.J5 can transmit 16 bits at the same time.
When testing the hearing of a subject, a sound signal is generated in the tone generator 1, which via line 2 and 3 and 4 for each actuator are fed to converters ο and 7. To make a measuring investigation to be able to carry out, weu according to the arrows 8 and 9 a change in the sound signalc causes that come to the test person in such a way that the binary words pending on lines 8 and 9 represent a code for the semiconductor switches included in blocks of FIGS. 3 and 4.
I Schallwandler24und25.In the embodiment shown in FIG three tone generators 10, 11 and 12 are provided which lines 13, 14 and 15 are connected. These are equipped with remote-controllable connection switches 16 and 17 connected, which are provided with corresponding pick-up contacts. By means of the in technology also referred to as a multiplexer Schaller and indicated by arrows 18 and 19 switching elements is a Remote-controllable setting on one of the tone generators 10 to 12 is possible.
