Es ist bereits bekannt geworden, die zu sterilisierende Flüssigkeit bei derartigen Vorrichtungen in offenen Leitungen fließen zu lassen, welche mit reflektierenden Oberflächen versehen sind, wobei auch schon die Schlangenform gewählt war. Demgegenüber kennzeichnet sich die vorliegende Vorrichtung dadurch, daß die zu sterilisierende Flüssigkeit in einer um die Strahlenquelle (Lampe) angeordneten, geschlossenen Schlange aus Quarz fließt, welche ihrerseits von einer reflektierenden Hülle umgeben ist, welche die diese treffenden Strahlen in bekannter Weise der Quarzschlange zurückführt. Hieraus ergibt sich nicht nur der Vorteil einer wohlfeilen, wenig Raum beanspruchenden und einfachen Vorrichtung, die sich mit Vorteil auch im Hausgebrauch eignet, sondern es wird auch eine vollkommenere Ausnutzung der ultravioletten Strahlen erzielt.It is already known that the liquid to be sterilized in such devices to flow in open lines, which are provided with reflective surfaces, also already the snake shape was chosen.
