Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Haltbarmachung von Lösungen des 3 · 31-Diamino-4 · 4x-dioxyarsenobenzol-Formaldehydsulfoxylats. The present invention relates to a process for preserving solutions of 3 × 3 1 -diamino-4 × 4 × -dioxyarsenobenzene-formaldehyde sulfoxylate.
Man hat es als einen großen Mißstand empfunden, daß diese wäßrigen Lösungen sich nach kurzer Zeit zersetzen, so daß sie sowohl bei subkutanen Einspritzungen als auch bei der neuerdings empfohlenen lokalen Anwendung völlig unbrauchbar werden und infolgedessen giftig wirken. Es ist nun gefunden worden, daß bei Verwendung von Salzen der schwefligen Säure die Haltbarkeit einer solchen Lösung eine weit größere ist als ohne diese Zusätze. Gute Erfolge sind erzielt worden, wenn man z. B. einer wäßrigen Lösung von 0,3 T. 3 · 3 * - Diamino - 4 · 41 - dioxyarsenobenzol-Formaldehydsulfoxylat : 100,0 aqua destillata gleiche Mengen einer 5prozentigen Natriumsulfitlösung beimischt.It has been found to be a great disadvantage that these aqueous solutions decompose after a short time so that they are completely useless both in the case of subcutaneous injections and in the recently recommended local application and are consequently toxic. Zur Injektion geeignete, haltbare Lösungen können schon mit sehr geringen Mengen Sulfit hergestellt werden. So wirkt bei verdünnter Lösung schon ein Zusatz von 0,1 Prozent Sulfit für einige Zeit konservierend. Bei Anwendung einer konzentrierten Lösung wird man die Menge des Sulfits erhöhen, und zwar kann man ruhig bis zur Hälfte der absoluten Menge des angewandten 3 · 31 - Diamino-4 · 41 - dioxyarsenobenzol - Formaldehydsulfoxylats gehen, da dadurch die Giftigkeit der Lösung noch nicht gesteigert wird.Stable solutions suitable for injection can be made with very small amounts of sulfite.
