Description

A process for producing bright zinc coatings from cyankalischen bath additive patent 7131678 The patent 713,679 a method for the production of bright zinc coatings from cyankalischen baths is described, being used as brighteners aromatic aldehydes or Oxydaldehyde alone or in a mixture. Since many aldehydes are liquid, the disadvantage here is that these substances have to be added to the zinc bath in liquid form. Many aldehydes are only soluble to a limited extent in water or in alkaline liquids. This partially prevents their use. These inconveniences can be avoided if, instead of the aldehydes, their sodium bisulfite compounds are used, which can easily be prepared in solid, powdery form. In this form, they can be added to the zinc salts required to prepare the zinc baths without decomposition. These mixtures can be kept for a long time and can therefore be stored.

Another, technically very important one Advantage at Application of the sodium bisulfite compounds of aldehydes lies in the fact that they are Easily dissolve in water and that on this M-Tege the aldehydes very easily dissolve can be brought, and in significantly larger Menzen than when using the pure aldehyde.

Even if these l \ Tatriurnbistilfitvindungen in strongly alkaline If solutions completely or partially decompose, the aldehyde is nevertheless extremely precipitated finely divided, easily soluble form and can be made from excess amounts of liquid kept slightly in solution, verden.

The introduction of iNatriumbfsulfitverhindunggen to a number of aldehydes Anv # find ending that ge previously infolg her - e wrestle not solubility could be used.

It is already known. alkaline zinc bi * i, -i ### rn bisulfites or also add sodium bisulfite. The uses of the bisulfite compounds However, aldehydes have nothing to do with these sodium bisulfite additives.
