Abstract

The compact horn for loading mid-range loudspeakers is designed for the 400-600 Hz frequency range and has an omnidirectional 360 deg. output of uniform intensity. A modified version is suitable for the 1500-3000 Hz range. It may be fitted to medium-sized loudspeaker cabinets. The horn is of folded design comprising two main components. The central, flared section has a sealed mouth (7) forming one wall of a pressure chamber for the loudspeaker drive unit.
