In the treatment of acylated α-aminoanthraquinones with nitric sulfuric acid, the nitro groups occur in o- and p-positions to the amido group, but always in the amidated benzene nucleus of the anthraquinone (cf. patents 125391, 127780, 158076, 167 410, 171588 and reports 39 [1906] , Pp. 643/644). It has now been found that during the nitration of acyl compounds of the 1 · 4-D1-aminoanthraquinones in a solution of concentrated sulfuric acid, the nitro groups enter an α-position of the non-amidated nucleus. In this way, α-nitro compounds are obtained which are valuable as starting materials for the preparation of dyes and furthermore, by splitting off the acyl radicals, give previously unknown 5-nitro-i · 4-diaminoanthraquinones.
In addition to the usual, 1 · 4-diaminoanthraquinone acyl compounds protected by the residues of organic acids, such as B. Diacetyldiaminoanthraquinone, including those caused by the action of sulfuric acid on ι · 4-diaminoanthraquinone formed compounds (see. Patent 268592). In this case there is no need to isolate the acyl derivative; one uses appropriately directly the solution prepared by dilution with the appropriate amount of water of ι · 4-diaminoanthraquinone in fuming sulfuric acid for nitration.
50 Teile r^-Diacetyldiaminoanthrachinon (vgl. Gesellschaft 39 [1906], p. 643) are 500 parts of sulfuric acid (66 ° Be.) And dissolved at 5 to 10 ° with a 30 part 95 percent nitric acid and 100 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid prepared nitrating acid are added. To For a few hours, the solution is poured onto ice water, filtered off with suction and washed out. Recrystallized from glacial acetic acid, it forms nitrodiacetyl-i 4-diaminoanthraquinone red crystals, which are in pyridine with yellow-red, in concentrated sulfuric acid with yellow color. For saponification, it is mixed with a mixture from 300 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid and 100 parts of water about one Heated in a water bath for an hour. The nitro-i · 4-diaminoanthraquinone separates on cooling crystalline as sulfate. It is sucked off and washed out by Acid freed. It forms a purple powder that crystallizes from nitrobenzene in dark prisms, which dissolve in pyridine violet-blue, in concentrated sulfuric acid almost colorless. Since the replacement of the amido groups by hydroxyl groups is the one from the patent 90041 provides known α-nitroquinizarin, the α-position of the nitro group has been proven ; the triaminoanthraquinone formed therefrom by reduction accordingly contains the amino groups in the 1 · 4 · 5-position.
: Die Temperatur hält man zweck-30 parts of the body obtainable from 1 · 4-diaminoanthraquinone and fuming sulfuric acid according to patent 268592 are dissolved in 300 parts of sulfuric acid and then 40 parts of 27 percent nitrating acid are allowed to flow in. : The temperature is kept purposefully
Immediately an abundant deposition of red crystals occurs. j For quantitative separation, the acid i is reduced to 60 ° Be. diluted, the precipitate j vacuumed, washed and dried. It forms a brownish red powder that turns into pyridine dissolves with brown, in concentrated sulfuric acid with a brownish-red color. For saponification 30 parts are dissolved in 150 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid and so long on Heated 120 to 130 ° until the color of the solution in concentrated sulfuric acid of. Brown-red has changed to brown. It is poured into water, filtered and dried resulting precipitate, which is identical to that described in Example 1 , ι · 4-diamino-5-nitroanthraquinone proves.
Man verfährt dann, direkt vom Diamin ausgehend, folgendermaßen:As already mentioned, the sulfuric acid compound needs the diaminoanthraquinone not to be isolated prior to nitration. Then proceeding directly from the diamine, as follows:
-5 parts of 1 · 4-diamirioanthraquinone are slowly introduced into 50 parts of oleum with a 65 percent SO 3 content and the solution is stirred at 30 ° until a sample, after dilution with water, dissolves completely in ammonia. -
25 parts of sulfuric acid at 60 ° Be are then left with cooling. tapered and nitrided with 3 parts of nitric acid (95 percent), at a temperature not exceeding 10 °. The work-up is carried out as indicated above.
20 parts of 1 · 4-diamino-2 · 3-dichloroanthraquinone (obtainable, for example, by chlorinating ι · 4-diaminoanthraquinone with sulfuryl chloride in nitrobenzene solution; shiny metal prisms, in pyridine with blue-violet, in warmed Sulfuric acid + boric acid with violet color soluble) become 45 percent more in 400 parts fuming sulfuric acid heated to 80 ° for one hour. It is allowed to cool to 20 ° and then adds so much water with cooling that the acid 60 ° Be. shows. Then 20 parts of 27 percent nitrating acid are slowly added. The nitration policy immediately separates in red crystals. After standing for several hours, suction is performed, again with sulfuric acid at 60 ° Be., finally washed with water. The nitro body forms a brown powder that turns orange-brown in pyridine, in concentrated sulfuric acid orange dissolves. For saponification, it is mixed with 300 parts of sulfuric acid and, as indicated in Example 2, saponified. The resulting product is 5-nitro-i · 4-diamino-2 · S-dichloroanthraquinone. The body dissolves yellow-red in sulfuric acid, in pyridine pure blue, in nitrobenzene red-violet. The melting point of that obtained from pyridine steel blue needles is above 300 °. The reduction results in! • 4-5-triamino-2-3-dichloroanthraquinone.
