PATENTAMTPATENT OFFICE
Das mir unter P. R. No. 22000 patentirte Verfahren der Zuckergewinnung aus Melasse besteht im wesentlichen aus zwei Operationen, und zwar:That to me under P. R. No. 22,000 patented processes for extracting sugar from molasses consists essentially of two operations, namely:

Ich legte mir nun die Frage vor, ob das unter P. R. Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist mir vollständig und in einfacher Weise gelungen durch Auffindung des nachstehend beschriebenen Verfahrens.I now asked myself whether that under P. R. Man erzeugt genau nach der in P. R. No. 2 2000 gegebenen Vorschrift in der zur .Verarbeitung vorliegenden Melasse oder sonstigen zuckerhaltigen Flüssigkeit Monostrontiumzucker, den man mittelst der Filterpresse oder durch andere bekannte Hilfsmittel von der Mutterlauge trennt und auswäscht. Die Mutterlauge, einschliefslich der Waschlauge, wird nun aber nicht, wie bei dem unter P. R. No. 22000 patentirten Verfahren, auf Bistrontiumzucker verarbeitet, sondern in diesen Laugen löst man unter Erwärmung auf etwa 700 C. wieder Melasse und Aetzstrontium in dem Verhältnifs, wie es für die Bildung von Monostrontiumzucker erforderlich ist, kühlt die Mischung ab und regt sie abermals zum Auskrystallisiren von Monostrontiumzucker an, indem man sie mit einer geringen Menge desselben aus früherer Darstellung in Berührung bringt. Hierauf erfolgt wieder die Abtrennung des Niederschlages von der Mutter·^ lauge, sowie darauf die Benutzung der letzteren, um neue Mengen von Melasse und Aetzstrontium in dieselbe einzutragen u. s. f. Mit anderen Worten: man benutzt stets die von dem erzeugten Monosaccharat getrennten Mutterlaugen, um darin durch Eintragung neuer Quantitäten von Melasse und Aetzstrontium die Vorbedingungen für eine abermalige Ausscheidung einer weiteren Menge von Monosaccharat herbeizuführen.
