Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a natural humus former and fertilizer on the The basis of tree bark that is obtained during the processing of the trunk wood and is then chopped up, which are briefly exposed to a steam atmosphere of 70 ° to 90 ° C after shredding and then is dried at a lower temperature to a moisture content of up to a maximum of 30%.
In modern forestry, the felled tree is only delimbed in the forest, but the trunk wood passed on to the wood processor with bark. The log then has to go to the wood processing plant are debarked with the result that large amounts of tree bark are produced in such businesses today. This poses the problem of removing or reusing the tree bark. Unless they are is burned, which, however, as a rule requires expensive drying processes and otherwise only brings a low heat recovery with it. Other considerations for utilization go out Tree bark to gain humus.
Auch bei diesemSince the natural humification process of bark, but also of wood, takes several years, a economic solution aimed primarily at reducing the rotting time. So is known it. Crushing tree bark and composting the bark powder along with soil. Here, too, rotting times of several years must be accepted if there is a large need for storage space. In order to shorten the rotting process, the shredded tree bark can be biological Activators are added, which accelerate the bacterial and microbial conversion of the compost mass. The rotting time can be reduced to three to five months. Even with this one
The composting process, however, requires large areas, since the compost heaps are only allowed to have a relatively low height in order to achieve perfect ventilation.
The known method indicated at the beginning (DE-OS 24 32 423), on the other hand, requires significantly shorter treatment times, in that the bark is stacked after being separated from the trunk wood, later cleaned and chopped and finally left to swell in a steam atmosphere of up to 90 ° C. The bark powder is then dried and sieved into grain fractions. This is a process that can be carried out on an industrial scale and that quickly delivers a usable humus former that can be used immediately. However, this product cannot be regarded as a fertilizer in the sense of a growth substance that is quickly assimilated by the plant for the following reasons.
The tree bark inherently has an unfavorable carbon to nitrogen ratio Magnitude of 100: 1. On the one hand, this does not correspond to the ratio existing in normal soils of 15: 1, and on the other hand is also the cause of a slow rotting process, To this nitrogen poverty to fix and to make a full-fledged fertilizer out of the known product, nitrogen carriers would have to z. B. in the form of horn, blood or bone meal, sewage sludge or synthetic nitrogen carriers attached. This would of course increase the costs considerably again.
The invention is based on the object of a to make the aforementioned process produced humus formers into a full-fledged fertilizer without extraneous additives such as organic nitrogen carriers, chemicals or the like are necessary.
Diese Aufgabe wird gemäß der Erfindung dadurch gelöst, daß der Baumrinde vor der Zerkleinerung beim Entasten von Stammholz anfallende Abfälle in Form von Asten und Blättern beigegeben und diese zusammen mit der Baumrinde der weiteren BehandlungThis object is achieved according to the invention in that the tree bark before the shredding when Limbing from trunk wood is added waste in the form of branches and leaves and these along with the tree bark of further treatment
H. they are pre-shredded, dried, further chopped to the desired degree of fineness, then steamed and again dried. Here, the term "leaves" means the technical term used in wood technology, which includes both the Includes foliage of deciduous trees as well as the needles of conifers.
With the addition of the branches and leaves Sufficient organic nitrogen carriers are available, so that the carbon-nitrogen ratio is unfavorable for bark reaches the desired value for fertilizer of approx. 15: 1. So it is no longer necessary to add foreign nitrogen carriers. This turns the waste from the forestry and timber industry into a Complete fertilizer created that contains all the necessary components, such as organic, on a purely natural basis
The other advantage this method according to the invention is that all of the processing of logs generated waste, which is hardly used today, is made usable. This is the natural The rotting process or the well-known artificial composting process split into a mechanical one Working method that ends with a humus-forming agent with the properties of a complete fertilizer, and in a short-term biological rotting process in the soil, during which the plant the fertilizer takes up is
In order to obtain a starting material for vapor deposition, which is particularly well digested by the superheated steam, it is advisable to vorzuzerkleinern the bark initially, then drying at a temperature below 90 0 C to crush thereupon and to suspend then the steam atmosphere. Such intermediate drying is always recommended when the tree bark and other waste are relatively fresh, i.e. have a considerable moisture content.
The object of the invention can also be achieved according to an alternative in that the at Limbing of the trunks resulting from the waste is crushed, then a steam atmosphere of 70 ° to 90 ° C briefly and then mixed with the treated tree bark.
It is known that softwood bark has a pH value in the basic range (Ph greater than 7), although softwoods thrive particularly well on soils with a pH value in the acidic range. The opposite is the case with hardwoods whose bark has a P H value of less than 7, but which find the best living conditions on alkaline soils. The neutralization of the pH values of bark and soil thus apparently takes place automatically in the forest. On the other hand, it is known that other crops that are produced in agriculture and horticulture thrive best on neutral soil, since this is where the nutrients are best and quickest absorbed. Up until now it was of the opinion that a fertilizer should have a pH value at the neutral point if possible, which is why acidic fertilizers have been mixed with alkali from home, and acidic formers have been added to alkaline fertilizers from home. However, it is overlooked that with a neutral fertilizer neither an acidic nor an alkaline condition can be improved, rather the existing pH value is retained.
In the known method, it has therefore already been proposed to use tree bark from coniferous woods to produce a humus former for acidic soils. According to the invention, the bark of coniferous wood and the waste resulting from delimbing coniferous wood are used. Since such fertilizer has inherently a pH value in the basic range, the base is neutralized mil time.
Conversely, according to the known method for basic soils, a method is proposed according to which tree bark from hardwoods should be used. This method is according to the invention extended to the effect that the tree bark of hardwood and that obtained when delimbing hardwood Waste are used. This means that even basic soils can be neutralized.
The separation of the raw materials based on coniferous wood or based on hardwood therefore does not present any difficulties, because these woods are always felled and processed separately anyway. With the invention So two different fertilizers are provided, which enable optimal soil improvement.
With the fertilizer according to the invention it is also possible to use soils that were previously considered sterile in relatively to make fertile in a short time. Among other things, also the above-average water absorption capacity up to three times the weight of the humus former and the ability to retain moisture for a long time, especially for development.
In this respect, the fertilizer according to the invention is all other known fertilizers that are not able to to form a thicker humus layer, consider.
