Dadurch nun, daß das Saatgut nur durch das kleine, im Schieber c befindliche Loch e auf das Schubrad gelangt, kann von dem Schubrad auch nur dieses geringe, ihm zugeführte Saatquantum befördert werden, so daß infolgedessen das Quantum, das ausgesät wird, ein entsprechend geringes ist. Beim Drillen von Getreide und anderen größeren Saatarten,· bei denen das Schubrad a in seiner vollen Breite arbeiten muß, wird der Schieber c einfach hoch gezogen.
