Der Vorteil dieser Vorrichtung tritt dann ganz besonders in Erscheinung, wenn man den Ausfluß des Strahles plötzlich unterbrechen will, was eben durch Herstellung des Vakuums oberhalb des Schmelzbades im Augenblick erfolgt.
