Description
The invention relates to a method and the device required for its implementation for Filtration of highly viscous liquids, e.g. B. gelatin in kettle filters equipped with filter candles, in which the Liquid to be filtered (slurry) depending on the slurry concentration titration given amounts of kieselguhr are metered in and the mixture of slurry and kieselguhr is fed to the filter vessel and stored used filtrate is passed on from the boiler filter.
A bowl filter fitted with gap filter candles, in which the highly viscous liquid to be filtered, e.g. B. Gelatine, together with metered amounts of a Kiesclgiiraufschwemmung, is z. B. in the Journal "Enzinger Nachrichten", February 1968, ropes 71 to 76.
Such filters are in particular for filtering beer and the like. Known, each being used to build up there is sufficient even filter cake on the surfaces of the filter candles. By such a Uniform alluvial deposits of diatomaceous earth and deposition of diatomite and sediment are what is required A guarantee for a perfect filtration and a flawless consumer product is given.
The filter candles are each made of a large one Number of individual rings between which there are fissures are located. It can also be helically wound wires or helical springs Formation with filter gaps can be provided. The sediment, including kieselguhr, is deposited on the outside of the Edge filter elements as a filter cake. The custom filu at gets inside the filter candles and from there into the hood of the filter vessel, from where it passes through the Used filtrate line reaches the storage tank for the used filtrate.
Die An-The pulp is fed to the filler kettle from the storage tank. A feed pump provides the feed the desired amount of turbidity and the structure of the for the filtration of the required pressure inside the boiler. If highly viscous liquids are to be used with such a filter, z. B. gelatin, are filtered, however, in many cases there is no perfect used filtrate. Of the The invention has recognized that in the case of highly viscous liquids, no uniform precoat filter cake is produced comes, but the deposits including the alluvial diatomaceous earth in the lower area the filter candles are particularly pronounced. The arrival
But this is especially in the upper part of the Slit filter candles do not have a sufficient precoat layer, so that sediment can pass here and

Ist das Filtrat vollständig unbrauchbar, dann strömtAccording to the German patent application H 15 004 IVc / l2d, a method has become known with the z. B. insufficiently clarified and therefore unusable due to insufficient supervision of the filtration The filtrate is gelcitet back to the filter inlet. If the filtration is flawless, that's what happens entire filtrate as used filtrate on to the storage bowl. If the filtrate is completely unusable, it flows
4', es insgesamt zum Filtereingang zurück. Zwischenstufen sind möglich.4 ', it all back to the filter entrance. Intermediate stages are possible.
One such method is to overcome the difficulties associated with precoat filtration Gelatine with gap filter cartridges in kettle filters is not useful. The returned gelatin (unusable filtrate), possibly again mixed with kieselguhr, would only to enlarge the pear-shaped alluvium at the lower ends of the filter candles and finally to the self-blockade of the filier by growing together these pear-shaped, lower ones Lead to deposits, but not to the production of used filtrate.
Pages 7 to 13, see a compilation of the Possible uses of rotary drum filters, in which a Filter cake is obtained, washed out and peeled off. Here are different clear filter extracts won that - as far as it is not Usual filtrate is - again partly fed into the filtration process, mostly for washing purposes will. To eliminate the aforementioned problems with gelatin filtration with the aid of
These are not precoat filter candles in Kesselfiliern suitable because the return of the filtrate to the filtration process alone is not uniform in the case of gelatine Allotment on the filter candles can cause ka ~ .a.
In the magazine "Chemie-Ingenieur-Technik" Volume 30, 1958, No. 4, pages 226 to 228, are for ViJOumdrchfilUrr and centrifuges pre-thickening and Filtration methods described. On the one hand to get a clear used filtrate and on the other hand a To achieve a high degree of dryness of the filter cake, ils ?, snis'ierde, clear used filtrate is passed on, whereas the cloudy filtrate that occurs at the same time either from the rotary filter to the thickener or from the centrifuge is returned to the rotary filter. The methods geared towards vacuum filters and centrifuges are not suitable for the problems of pear-shaped alluvial deposits on the filter cake when filtering to remedy gelatine with the help of filter candles in boiler filters in order to obtain perfect usable filtrate deliver.
The object of the invention is therefore to develop a method and a method for carrying out the method suitable device with its or their help also for the filtration of highly viscous liquids, like gelatine, an even coating of the filter aid on the gap filter cartridges of a boiler filter Kieselguhr over the entire length of all individual filter candles and therefore also for highly viscous ones Liquids a high quality used filtrate can be achieved.
To solve this problem it is proposed according to the invention that continuously a Partial quantity of the used filtrate of the pulp fed to the filter vessel and passed on from the filter vessel mixed in and only the remaining amount of the used filter is stored.
Through this relatively simple procedural measure, not only the amount of liquid that is in the unit of time the gap filter candles happened, greatly increased, but it is also in the scope of each of the The amount of used filtrate added to turbid reduces the concentration of the turbid substances. So overall effects the increase of the liquid flow rate together with a corresponding dilution, the means a reduction in the sediment concentration, the desired, even coating of the filter aid and the sediment on the outside of the filter candles.
According to a further development of the invention, it is proposed that the total amount of the used filtrate conveyed away from the filter vessel corresponds to approximately 1.5 to 3.5 times the remaining amount stored. This measure allows adaptation to the type of liquid to be filtered and its condition, e.g. B. viscosity, temperature, sediment concentration and the like. Possible. In any case, the remaining amount of the stored used filirate corresponds to the amount of the added pulp. The amount of liquid to be filtered flowing into the filter tank and the amount of used filtrate leaving the filter tank can vary according to requirements and to a relatively wide extent. A value that can be used well for gelatine is twice the amount of the stored used filtrate.
To carry out the method in which one is fed from a storage tank to the filter vessel Turbidity line a feed pump is arranged, in the direction of flow behind the feed pump in the Turbidity feed line a line depending on the device to control the turbidity concentration ! •! Dosing of kieselguhr leads to a measuring device; ? ur L ^ i'.jvachung the amount of liquid supplied to the filter vessel is provided and on the filtrate side of the filicr a 8rauchfiltratleitung to a storage tank is performed, it is proposed according to the invention that the used filtrate line at a branch point has a branch line which opens into the sludge line leading to the ίο feed pump that a with the help of a volume measuring device adjustable throttle valve between the branch point of the used filtrate line and the storage tank is present and that the feed pump is designed so that the whole is not Usage filtrate fed to the storage tank together with one of the quantity of that fed to the storage tank Usable filtrate corresponding amount of slurry coming from the storage tank can be fed to the filter vessel. With a given filter performance (per unit of time), this can be done without laborious changes to the filter device a significantly increased line throughput through the filter tank and the ones in it Filter candles take place, with a simultaneous reduction in the concentration of sediment by the clear used filtrate is constantly added to the inflowing sludge before it enters the feed pump The kieselguhr concentration, which depends on the concentration of the turbid matter, is also appropriate small amount.
By changing the remaining quantity to be stored of used filtrate per unit of time, the amount of slurry supplied is automatically determined. Independent of which is the amount of liquid flowing through the tank and the filter rods per unit of time and thus the amount of used filtrate. It depends on the respective delivery rate of the pump and According to the invention, the amount of used filtrate added is greater than that from the storage tank removed turbidity. The delivery rate of the Pui-npe can be adjustable in a known manner, either by throttling behind the discharge nozzle or by changing the pump speed or the blade position the pump.
Based on the drawing and the description of the drawing, the method according to the invention and the device required for implementation explained, for example.

At the beginning of a filtering process, the throttle valve 14 is first completely closed and, after opening the valve 19, the tank 16 is filled with gas from the storage tank 16. If the pump 6 is switched on, the liquid first flows in a circuit through the line 5 into the boiler I and from there back to the pump 6 via the lines 9 and IOa. In this case, as soon as the system consisting of the boiler 1 and lines 9, 10;?, 5 and pump 6 is completely filled with liquid, no further sludge flows through the turbidity line 15. Kieselguhr is continuously metered into the pumped liquid via the metering line 17. As soon as there is sufficient filtration in the line 9: "Brauchfiltrai" flows, the throttle valve 14 is opened so far that, according to the display of the volume measuring device 13: In the used filtrate line 11, the desired amount of filter filtrate corresponding to the filter size flows in the time unit Storage tank 12 is collected and can then be further processed. However, according to the method according to the invention, only a residual amount of the used filtrate flowing in line 9 flows through the used filtrate line 11, so that a considerable amount of used filtrate flows through the line 10a of the turbidity line 15 at the mixing point 18 and before entry into the pump 6 the cloud concentration j of the sludge to be filtered is greatly reduced and the amount thereof is greatly increased Lower part of the boiler la through j metering of kieselguhr mixed with kieselguhr via the Posierleitung 17 in accordance with the actual cloud concentration. This turbidity, which is very dilute in its cloud concentration and increased in its quantity, acts on the surfaces of all filter cartridges 1 quite evenly in the kettle, so that a uniform filter cake 4 is deposited on all filter cartridges, continuously from the lower end of the filter cartridges up to its upper end near the separating plate 2. In the drawing, the filter cake 4 has been removed at one point in order to be able to show the filter rings 3a inside.
B. filtered gelatin, then you can with a given suitable size of the filter vessel 1 and a suitable filter surface, given by the number and length of the filter candles 3. with advantage z. B. a liquid wedge through the pressure port 5 of 200 hl / h diluted slurry is added and continuously discharged through line 9 200 hl / h used filtrate. By the used filtrate line 11 is then expediently a partial amount of 100 hl / h Brauchfiltrai continued to the storage tank and stored there, whereas via the branch point 10 and the branch line 10a a further 100 hl / h of use at the mixing point 18 and the Turbidity line 15 are fed since only KX) hl / h of used filtrate is discharged through the used filtrate line II and be stored, the pump 6 but 200 hl / h of liquid through the nozzle 5 to the lower part of the boiler la supplies, then flow from the storage tank over 100 hl / h The mixer 18 becomes cloudy.
Durct 1 tfiese procedure, it is possible, even with highly viscous liquids, such as /. B. gelatine, the filter aid kieselguhr evenly and without pressure surges on the surface of the filter candles, so that perfect precoat filtration can be achieved even with extremely viscous media. ^ U nicr observation of Mengenmeßgerätes 7 set; ionsdruck the Pumpenfci-dtnnci: through the throttle valve 8 is in each case according to the course of filtration to rhöhtnden Fi "a!.
In addition, the amount of diatomaceous earth added in each case depends on the amount added in each case Amount of sediment. The kieselguhr concentration of the diluted slurry entering through the nozzle 5 is also present accordingly relatively low, which also contributes to the fact that a uniform alluvial surface is achieved on the surfaces of the filter candles 3.
In any case, according to the invention, alluvial deposits the Kieselgu. Evenly on the filter candles and adjusted to the viscosity of the liquid applied throw, with any desired filter performance can be regulated without pressure surges.
