Der Viehlöser soll den Zweck haben, die Kette des Viehes bei Bränden sofort zu lösen. Wie ja bekannt, ziehen die Thiere bei einem Brande so stark an der Kette, um sich los zu machen, dafs es dann selbst bei äufserster Anstrengung nicht möglich ist, die Kette auch nur ein wenig zusammen zu ziehen, um dieselbe lösen zu können. Diesem Uebelstande wird durch den neuen Viehlöser abgeholfen, indem man nur die Feder, welche zu beiden Seiten bei/, um sie fassen zu können, übersteht, hebt und eine Drehung macht; alsdann ist die Kette gelöst und das Thier frei,The purpose of the cattle loosener is to immediately loosen the chain of the cattle in the event of a fire.
