Bei diesen bekannten Schalungselementen ist die Höhe der an beiden Stoßseiten angeordneten Querstege gleich der Höhe der Seitenwände. Bei solchen Wänden ist der Querverbund des Füllbetons od. dgl. in einer Wand gegenüber bekannten Schalungselementen, deren Querstege in einem Abstand von den Lagerseiten enden (DT-GM 74 33 107), sehr vermindert bzw. völlig unterbunden. Außerdem lassen sich waagrechte Bewehrungen kaum vorsehen. Bei den Schalungssteinen, bei denen die stoßseitigen Querstege in einem Abstand von den Lagerseiten enden, ergibt sich bei Eckverbänden allerdings das Problem des an der Stirnseite nach außen offenen Hohlraums und somit der Isolierung des dort nach außen greifenden Füllbetons, weshalb Sonderelemente zum Vermeiden dieses Nachteils gebildet worden sind.Such formwork elements are known (DT-GM 18 19 513, FR 20 74 669).
