Der zur Ez are so-called metal papers to recorders known that thin on the front surface of a record carrier of insulating material, usually paper, a 5J metal layer with a sheet resistivity on the order of about 2 wear to 300 ohms, and where along this metal layer by a stylus by means of electric current a writing trace can be burned out (e.g. DT-PS 8 54 439), fo A problem with the use of such metal papers in recording devices is the good surface dissipation of the writing current from this relatively high-resistance metal layer. In all recording devices of this type that have been customary up to now, the writing current is discharged via a roller which is pressed with great pressure from the front onto the metal layer and which is electrically connected to the writing current source. High levels of contact required to achieve good contact The contact pressure of these power take-off rollers causes difficulties in the transport of the paper, the paper can attach tear out the transport pin roller, the rollers get dirty very quickly and then it is not a good one Surface contact more guaranteed with the metal layer of the metal paper. It is true specially shaped contact rollers of this type are known (DT-PS 11 85 384); however, so too is this problem only partially solved.
Es ist daher Aufgabe der Erfindung, ein Metallpapier zu schaffen, das eine gleichbleibend gute Abfuhr des Schreibstromes von der Metallschicht ermöglicht, und außerdem eine Einrichtung zu schaffen, die diese Schreibstromabfuhr in einem Registriergerät auf einfache Weise ermöglichtIt is therefore an object of the invention to create a metal paper that has a consistently good discharge of the Write current from the metal layer allows, and also to create a device that this Enables writing current discharge in a registration device in a simple manner
This object is achieved based on a metal paper according to the preamble of the main claim the features of the characterizing part of this main claim. Further advantageous refinements of the metal paper according to the invention, in particular with regard to the device for discharging the writing current within the recording device, result from the subclaims.
DT-AS 16 23 619). In the case of metal papers of the type mentioned, it is known per se to have one on both sides of the paper carrier to apply such a relatively high-resistance metal layer in order to be able to write on both sides (DT-GM 16 96 868). However, this known metal paper would not be suitable for the purpose of the invention because even when such a known paper is being wound into a roll, the one provided on the back could be used unused metal layer not within the meaning of the invention for discharging the write current from the straight used top side, since the sheet resistance of these metal layers intended for burnout would be too high. The same applies so-called spark registration papers, which are so electrically conductive throughout that n-u: one through the The writing current that flows through the paper can be perforated by means of spark discharge. Also at it is known per se for such papers, additionally on the rear side facing away from the writing electrode, with which such papers are stretched onto a recording roller acting as a counter electrode, to apply a conductive metal layer, which, however, is selected to have a relatively high resistance (DT-PS 10 11722 or DT-AS 16 23 619). Only through the measure according to the invention, in one to a role rolled up metal paper of the type mentioned at the beginning also has a metal layer on the back mi: wrapping, which has a low sheet resistance compared to the burn-out metal layer on the front, it is possible to use this additional low-resistance metal layer the write current in a simple way from the burned out to dissipate the upper, relatively high-resistance metal layer, because in the mostly very strictly wound role of the With the metal paper, the additional low-resistance metal layer wrapped with it stands in all turns of the roll in good surface contact with the relatively high-resistance burn-out element underneath Metal layer. This good contact between the two metal layers is in the role from contamination protected and always consistently effective over the entire width of the paper and it is sufficient to carry away the write current from the high-resistance metal layer therefore, in the recorder a simple contact
Provide device that is in contact with this additionally wrapped low-resistance metal layer stands. This could be done, for example, that on the back of the roll removed and fed to the pen section of the metal paper before or after A simple sliding contact or a known contact roller is provided with the pen provided on the back of the paper and removed from the roll together with the metal paper low-resistance metal layer is in contact. Oa this rear metal layer has a very low resistance, for example is an aluminum foil, good contact can be made with relatively little contact pressure which is also not soiled, as this metal layer is very abrasion-resistant and in the role against Pollution remains protected. This contact is preferably made with the inside of the coil in close surface contact with the high-resistance metal layer of the metal paper standing low-resistance current discharge metal layer in the recording device in the Area of the receiving device for the paper roll, since this metal layer extends to the winding core is wrapped and therefore a very simple power take-off in this area of the recorder is possible. It can, for example, at the beginning of the winding between the winding core and the first turn of this the rear side provided low-resistance metal layer a metal strip can be inserted, the side guided out of the roll and connected to the side parts of the receiving device receiving the roll is, so that on these metallic side parts and a corresponding sliding contact, the current is drawn can be done. Preferably, however, the winding core is formed directly as a metal tube, so that Good contact between the current removal metal layer and the latter via the first turn of the coil Winding core is created and it is then sufficient to simply make a corresponding sliding contact directly on this Winding core t to be provided on the jig of the roll that receives it.
The invention is illustrated below with the aid of a schematic drawing of an exemplary embodiment both for the formation of the metal paper and for the device for discharging the writing current explained in more detail.
The figure shows schematically a recording device for metal paper. The metal paper consists of a Paper carrier 1, on the upper side of which a metal layer with a specific surface resistance of about 100 up to 300 ohms is applied. By a pen 2, which is connected to one pole of a writing current source is connected, this metal layer of the metal paper becomes a writing track in a known manner burned out. The metal paper is drawn off continuously from a roll 4 via a take-off roller 3, which is placed on a roll receiving device 5.
Gemäß der Erfindung ist auf der Rückseite des Metallpapiers I in die Rolle 4 eine zusätzlicheAccording to the invention, on the back of the metal paper I in the roll 4 is an additional one
Metal layer 6 is also wrapped, and this metal layer has a very low specific sheet resistance of only a few πιΩ compared to the burn-out metal layer on the paper surface. This additional layer 6 consists, for example, of aluminum and it is either only loosely wrapped in the roll 4 as an aluminum foil web with about the width of the metal paper and can later be separated from the metal paper again or it is laminated or vapor-deposited directly onto the back of the metal paper, as is usual with packaging papers. It is useful to use conventional metal-laminated paper, which is then provided with the burn-out metal layer in a known manner. The figure shows that applied within the very strict wound roll 4 in the first winding layer, these metal-back layer 6 over the entire roll width in intimate surface to surface contact with the front of the metal paper I ausb 1 - :. nnbaren metal layer is, and this surface contact in each roll winding layer continues up to the winding core 7. The writing current can therefore be carried away in a simple manner from the relatively high-resistance metal layer of the metal paper via the metal layer 6, for example through a contact 8 in the area of the rear side of the metal paper withdrawn from the roll 4. Since good surface contact can be produced with an aluminum foil or aluminum lamination even with low contact pressures, this contact 8 can be implemented very easily, for example in the form of a contact roller over which the paper is drawn. The metal layer 6 could also be contacted via the writing pad 8 opposite the pen 2, which is usually made of highly conductive metal and which, through the pen, has a sufficiently large pressure contact with the metal layer 6. After the metal layer 6 has been wrapped in the roll 4 over the entire length of the metal paper 1, that is to say up to the winding core 7 and the roll receiving device 5 that supports it, it is expedient to carry out this current discharge directly in the area of this winding core. In the embodiment shown, the winding core 7 consists of a metal tube on which the metal paper 1 is wound around the metal layer 6 provided on the rear side so that the metal layer 6 is in contact with the outer surface of this tube 7 over the largest possible area. From this metal winding core 7, the connection to the other pole of the write current source can then be established via the roller bearing or a simple sliding contact 9. The grinding contact 9 can of course also interact directly with the mostly metal rod of the roll receiving device 5 or with the metal disks laterally guiding the roll; there are a wide variety of possibilities for making electrical contact with the wound metal layer 6 with this type of winding.
