Abstract

The 'Mikado' game is capable of being played by any number of players with the rods to be raised individually from an irregular heap of rods in such a way that no other rod is moved during its' removal. The game has been adapted for play outside such as on lawns etc. by increasing the lengths of the rods from 0.2m to about 1.2m. with a corresponding increase in the rods thickness. The wooden rods pointed at either end and having a colour marking may be made of different lengths varying between 0.5 and 2m. Alternatively the rods may be made from a suitable type of plastic material.
