Auf der Oberfläche des Setzkopfes sind Nuten 8 zur Aufnahme der Holzstäbchen angeordnet. Die Tiefe dieser Nuten entspricht ziemlich genau dem Querschnitte der Stäbchen, so daß die in den Nuten liegenden Stäbchen nicht über die Oberfläche des Setzkopfes hinausragen, wenn dieser sich vorwärts auf die Tunkplatte C hin bewegt. Um eine völlige Reinigung der Nuten im Setzkopfe bei jedem Rückgange der Maschine sicherzustellen, sind nach der Erfindung Auswerfer 9 angebracht, deren obere Enden den Boden der Nuten 8 des Setzkopfes bilden. Jeder dieser Auswerfer hat einen Schenkel g^a, der durch den Fuß des Setzkopfes nach unten hervorragt. Alle Auswerfer sind miteinander durch die Querstange 10 verbunden, welche durch die Schenkel g^a der Auswerfer hindurchgeht (s. Fig. i, 3 und 4). Befindet sich der Setzkopf in seiner Aufnahmestellung, dann nehmen die Auswerfer 9 die in Fig. 3 dargestellte Lage ein; wenn der Setzkopf sich vorwärts bewegt und die Holzstäbchen in die Tunkplatte C eingeführt hat, werden die Auswerfer nach oben gedrückt (s. Fig. 4), so daß alle Holzstäbchen, welche etwa in den Nuten 8 des Setzkopfes eingeklemmt geblieben sind, mit Sicherheit entfernt werden. Die beispielsweise dargestellten Mittel zur Bewegung der Auswerfer bestehen aus zwei Armen 11, welche durch eine wagerecht angeordnete schwingende Spindel 12 miteinander verbunden sind und lange Schlitze 13 haben, in welche der Querstab 10 eingreift. Die schwingende Spindel 12 trägt außerdem einen nach vorn gerichteten kurzen Arm 14. Mit einer am Ende dieses Armes angeordneten Rolle arbeitet eine Nockenscheibe 15 zusammen, welche die Bewegung der Auswerfer steuert. Eine Feder 16, welche mit dem Arme 14 einerseits und mit einem festen Punkte der Maschine andererseits verbunden ist, zieht die Auswerfer immer wieder in ihre untere Ruhelage zurück.Grooves 8 for receiving the wooden sticks are arranged on the surface of the setting head.
