Description
The invention relates to a shock damping element, in particular for an exhaust gas turbocharger, according to the preamble of claim 1.
Exhaust gas turbochargers are often equipped with an intake silencer attached to the compressor housing. This serves to dampen the sound waves that occur during operation of the compressor and points to it Purpose on a plurality of damping elements. The sound attenuation is guaranteed by that the air flowing past is pressed into the sound-absorbing material in the area of the pressure mountains and is sucked out of this at the pressure valleys. A damping part thus acts as a buffer that reduces the pressure difference between the pressure peaks and the pressure valleys to a certain extent, and thus the amplitudes the sound waves are reduced.
From DE-OS 23 03 611 a damping element is known, the support part of which is equipped in the direction of flow with scenes arranged parallel to one another. Between the individual scenes, partitions are provided which, in a preferred embodiment, in the In the middle are curved outwards on both sides. The partition walls are on the inside of the housing wall then designed as half-shells. In a further preferred embodiment from this publication the scenes are made of resonators. It is also provided that scenes and partitions with an absorbent material to clothe. The absorption material in turn is held in place by grids.
All the versions proposed here have in common that between adjacent scenes, which are the actual damping parts of the system, an impermeable partition is provided is, which therefore prevents gas exchange between the individual scenes, even if they are transverse to Have flow direction permeability.
Das relativ starke Gitter deckt dis Dämpfungsmaterial dabei nur einseitig ab.The design with resonators cannot remedy this either. The result is that between the individual dividing walls, autonomous streams with their own characters can form. The lack of permeability prevents the partial flows from communicating with one another. This has a negative effect on sound absorption and the compensation of pressure differences that occur in the flow profile.
Another absorption muffler is known from GB-PS 11 66 843, in which the damping material is filled between the inner and outer cylinders. The relatively strong grille only covers the damping material on one side.
The invention is based on the object of keeping the flow losses in a sound-damping element of the type mentioned at the beginning over the entire support part and compensating for the pressure differences resulting from the flow profile. The construction of the T. agteil should be characterized by simplicity in terms of installation and fixation of the damping parts.
The object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.
Weitere Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung sind Gegenstand der Ansprüche C bis 4.Further refinements of the invention are the subject matter of claims C to 4.
What is achieved by the invention is that the relatively large-area, perforated recesses in the supporting part allow the installation of air-permeable damping parts. Due to their permeability, the interspaces between the individual support parts form air gaps which almost act as if they were filled with sound-absorbing material. Accordingly, the damping of frequencies can be achieved with much thinner damping parts and therefore with little material expenditure; lower frequencies can also be attenuated here. In addition, the permeability has the effect that the GaMtrönv'rg can penetrate from one flow channel into the neighboring one via the damping parts if there are pressure differences in the flow profile. This brings about a pressure equalization
In order to reduce flow losses, the support part is designed to be favorable in terms of flow technology both on the inflow side and on the outflow side.
The support part is also designed so that it is self-supporting and so as a receiving part for the damping parts and the grille can work.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the support part is provided from light metal casting. this gives the advantage of low weight and simpler manufacture.
The division of the support part into several equally sized segments enables a more efficient production and Easier installation and the interchangeability of the now smaller damping parts.
The supporting parts arranged one behind the other in the flow channel are advantageously held together by means of tie rods. It is therefore also possible to use the supporting parts to distance each other.
Es zeigtIn the drawing are exemplary embodiments of the invention shown schematically. It shows

Dip. Recesses 4, 4a are bordered in the circumferential direction by three webs 9a, 9b, 9c and radially by web 10. 1 raised Gitier 3 to be used on the support part 1, not shown rivets. At the intersection of the two webs 9ö and 10, a bore 5 is provided, which serves to accommodate a tie rod, not shown, which fixes the support parts 1 to one another with the aid of spacer sleeves and holds them in the silencer housing on the Abströrnungsseite üb the support member 1 as the conductivity-ement with the shape of a deflector vane 8 is formed
As shown in FIG. 2 can be clearly seen, the extend Damping parts 2 over the entire thickness of the support part 1. On both sides, grids 3 form the conclusion of the same, whereby the damping parts 2 are well established.
For fluidic reasons, the grids 3 are flush with the specified flow line from nose 6 and deflector 8.
The total area of the recesses 4, 4a should preferably more than 30% of the entire wing area. The grids 3 affect, for example a hole proportion of more than 25% the sound attenuation only minimal, however, the attenuation parts 2 protect at 3s a possible "pumping" of the compressor is sufficient. The large-area damping parts 2, an appropriate one Selected flow resistance of the sound-absorbing material and a corresponding thickness of the Damping oils 2 enable good damping, both at higher and lower frequencies.
The gas exchange guaranteed by the permeability of the damping parts 2 between the individual Support parts 1, has a positive effect on the desired pressure equalization in the flow profile.
