Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine FeststeUungsvorrichtung für die bewegliche Maulhälfte eines verstellbaren Mutternschlüssels, bei welcher von der bekannten Einrichtung Gebrauch gemacht wird, daß der Schlüsselschaft, auf dem die bewegliche Maulhälfte entlang gleitet, mit einer Verzahnung versehen ist, in die hinein eine im Innern der ausgehöhlten Maulhälfte untergebrachte Sperrung eingreift. Die Folge davon ist, daß keine noch so große Gewalt die bewegliche Maulhälfte verschieben kann, solange die Klinke in ihrer selbstsperrenden Lage den Frosch verriegelt oder aber die äußere Kraft nicht so groß wird, daß etwa sämtliche in Eingriff stehenden Zähne glatt weggeschert werden. Solange aber auch nur ein einziger Zahn noch in der vielleicht nach langem Gebrauch schon stark abgenutzten Verzahnung im Eingriff steht, ist eine Verschiebung im gesperrten Zustande ausgeschlossen.
