Dabei hat das in der Mitte befindliche Rohr b etwa den doppelten Querschnitt der beiden anderen Röhren, die das Wasser in der gleichen, aber derjenigen im mittleren Rohr entgegengesetzten Richtung führen. Das Absteigen des Wassers kann in den Röhren a und das Aufsteigen in dem Rohre b erfolgen, oder umgekehrt. Die Rohrkörper sind, wie üblich, in Querreihen versetzt zueinander angeordnet und in bekannter Weise oben an zwei übereinander befindlichen Wasserkammern c und d angeschlossen, und zwar so, daß die Röhren α in die eine, die Röhren b in die andere Kammer münden, während das untere Ende der Rohrkörper frei bleibt. An diesem unteren Ende stehen die Röhren a und b miteinander in Verbindung, indem die Zwischenwände teilweise beseitigt oder durchbohrt sind. Es könnten aber auch besondere Verbindungskörper unten an den Röhren angeordnet sein. Die Röhren δ stehen mit der oberen Wasserkammer c, die Röhren a mit der unteren Kammer in Verbindung, und zwar in unmittelbarer Verbindung oder, wie dargestellt, mittels besonderer Düsen f und Hälse h.
