Es sind bereits Vorrichtungen zum Naßbehandeln von Garnsträhnen bekannt, bei denen letztere frei auf unbeweglich an zwei endlosen Ketten befestigten flachen Tragleisten hängen. Die Strähnenreihen bleiben aber hierbei auf ihren Tragleisten stets in derselben Lage, so daß stets dieselben Stellen der Fäden die Leisten berühren, infolgedessen kann die Flüssigkeit die Fäden an den Berührungsstellen mit den Tragleisten nicht gut durchdringen, so daß die Fäden an diesen Stellen schlecht gefärbt oder gebleicht werden und demzufolge eine minderwertige Ware abgeben. Beim Gegenstand der Erfindung werden die Tragleisten und die sie aufnehmenden Ketten innerhalb der Flotte abwechselnd über annähernd senkrecht übereinander gelagerte Zahnräder in wellenförmigen 'Gang bei vollständigem Untertauchen unter gleichzeitigem Umziehen der Strähne geführt.
