Nach dem den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildenden Verfahren soll der mit einem galvanischen Metallüberzug zu versehende Aluminiumgegenstand, nachdem er zuvor in bekannter Weise in einer alkalischen Lösung entfettet und gespült worden ist, in einem sogenannten Bindebade von bestimmter Zusammensetzung durch einen kurzdauernden Strom' zunächst einen hauchartigen elektrolytischen Metallniederschlag erhalten, auf welchen dann in bekannten elektrolytischen Bädern der gewünschte Metallüberzug niedergeschlagen' wird. B. aus Kupfer, bestehen. < Nach der Herstellung des dünnen Überzuges in diesem Bindebade wird der Aluminiumgegenstand abgespült und kann nunmehr in das elektrolytische Bad desjenigen Metalles eingebracht werden, mit welchem er überzogen werden soll.
