One of those But painting is not permanent. It was probably also a permanent coloration of natural stone or artificial stone ware by means of penetrating or penetrating colored solutions, including also causes metal salt solutions, but
ίο was previously not achievable to a sufficient extent to achieve multiple and arbitrarily varying colorations, as these are particularly desirable for works of art.
The subject matter of the present invention is a method which makes it possible to equip ceramic masses in one or more colors with indestructible colors that penetrate or penetrate the mass in any variation. The essence of this process is that the ceramic objects are treated, preferably with the use of heat, with one or more metal salt solutions and the colorations obtained are partially changed by partial etching with acids. The procedure is carried out, for example, as follows:
So ergeben z. Salze anwenden. Die dadurch erzielten FarbeffekteThe ceramic objects are whole (monochrome) or on with metal salt solutions different places, possibly under cover, soaked, whereby the action of the colored metal salt solutions is extended for as long or new applications as often be repeated until the soaking is as deep as desired, or through and through is. To speed it up, it is advisable to either put the object before or after heating the coating or applying the salts hot, or both. Another Acceleration can be made by having the mostly a cavity having objects connected to an air pump and the pickling during air suction undertakes. It goes without saying that the object to be pickled will be such Layer given, or the areas to be colored are isolated so that colors run off cannot hit the neighboring spots. Since there is no actual dyeing, must A wide choice can be made among the metal salts, as many different as possible To be able to evoke colors. So z. B. Copper salts blue or greenish tones (depending on the concentration), iron oxide salts brown, yellow, red, gray, even deep black colors, depending on the concentration and depending on the choice of salt; in a similar way strontium, manganese, silver, Use tin, zinc, platinum, chromium, etc. salts. The resulting color effects
sind ziemlich. gleichmäßig bzw. eintönig. Die so gefärbten Objekte werden nun z. B. mittels eines Pinsels mit verdünnten Säuren stellenweise behandelt, also geätzt, wobei zu diesemare pretty. even or monotonous. The objects colored in this way are now z. B. by means of a brush treated in places with dilute acids, i.e. etched, with this
Etching different degrees of concentration of the acids can be used. Through this the most diverse decorative patterns, such as marble, bronze, wood, etc., be achieved.
It is convenient to use the soaked items after drying, but advantageously also with the application of heat with a colorless protective coating made of paraffin, stearin, To provide wax, ceresin or carnauba wax or the like.
