The invention relates to a process for the production of fur imitations, velvet, u plush. Like. The novelty consists y that layers of unidirectional fibers 5 or filaments densely stacked and are brought into a liquid for freezing, and then the thus formed block transverse to fiber direction is broken down into plates and the fibers are exposed on one side of the plate by melting, which are then united with one another by gluing on any substrate and finally freed from the remaining ice by melting.
This method shows the previously known method of this type over the advantage that the fibers or filaments need not be laid down in parallel rows between plates. In addition to a significant saving in wages, this is another advantage achieves that the fur imitations get a more natural look, while velvet and Plush can be created with a very dense layer of thread.
Die Herstellung von Pelznachahmungen usw. gemäß der Erfindung geschieht in folgender Weise:The production of imitations of furs, etc. according to the invention takes place in the following way Way:
First, fibers or fibers running in parallel are arranged in more or less narrow layers Threads of any color or nature and in any combination. These fibers or layers of thread are made by any known method, e.g. B. by carding, Combing, brushing, etc., brought into a parallel position to each other and fixed on top of each other.
This thread mass of any thickness and length is then filled with water Place the container and freeze the whole thing, so that a block of ice is formed. This block of ice, which encloses the fibers or threads, is then broken into pieces sawn from the product to be manufactured dimensions, namely vertically to the general arrangement of the threads or also at an angle to this. Then the ice is melted a little on one side, so that a small part of the fibers is exposed. The exposed fiber ends are then by an adhesive, as rubber, caoutchouc solutions, etc., with any Underlay, such as silk, canvas, cotton or nettle fabric, etc., firmly connected. The ice, which envelops the rest of the fibers, is then melted down The product is dried and then ready to go through all finishing processes. The fibers or threads can also be firmly connected with expandable membranes, to produce a fabric that has a larger surface area than the first surface of the material attached to it.
