Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein verkürztes und verbessertes Verfahren zur Herstellung eines elastischen Stoffes aus animalischen Materialien.The present invention is a shortened and improved method for Manufacture of an elastic fabric from animal materials.
Durch dieses Verfahren wird die im Hauptpatent beschriebene Arbeitsweise bedeutend verkürzt und die erhaltene Masse für einige Zwecke verbessert. Nach Abfiltrierung des mittels Essigsäure niedergeschlagenen Eiweißstoffes fügt man gemäß vorliegenden Verfahrens eine Lösung von Tannin zum Filtrat, und zwar in solchen Mengen, daß alles ausfällt und das Wasser sich ganz aufhellt. Das Wasser wird dekantiert und der zurückbleibende Stoff sorgfältig getrocknet. Die zuzufügende Menge Tannin beträgt etwa 30 Prozent des Eiweißes. Dieser so erhaltene Stoff, welcher sich, wenn gut getrocknet, nicht mehr in Wasser auflöst, kann ebenso, wie in dem Patent 236260 erwähnt, mit gewöhnlichem Kautschuk vermischt und vulkanisiert werden.This process makes the mode of operation described in the main patent important shortened and the obtained mass improved for some purposes.
