Die Löcher sind so angeordnet, daß sie miteinander fluchten und auf diese Weise zwei gerade Kanäle durch den Plattenstapel 12 bilden, welche parallel zur Ebene der Längsträger 20 verlaufen. In jedem Kanal sitzt verschiebbar eine Stange 28, welche im zusammengedrückten und umspannten Zustand der Plattenpackung 10 auf beiden Seiten aus den Endplatten 15 und 17 herausragt. Jede Stange 28 hat an einem Ende einen dünnen Kopf 30, um zu verhindern, daß die anliegende Endplatte 15 bzw. 17 von ihrem Ende abgleitet. Die Köpfe 30 der beiden Stangen 28 befinden sich auf entgegengesetzten Seiten der Plattenpackung 10. Wenn die Spannbänder 16 durchschnitten werden und sich der Plattenstapel 12 mit Bezug auf den Drehspeicherwärmetauscher radial ausdehnt, findet folglich innerhalb der Plattenpackung 10 eine Gleitbewegung der Stangen 28 statt und jeder Kopf 30 kommt in Berührung mit der benachbarten Endplatte 15 bzw. 17, so daß alle Platten 11 relativ zueinander in einer bestimmten axialen Stellung mit Bezug auf den Drehspeicherwärmetauscher gehalten werden.
