Sobald man nun die Mutter anzieht, wird die Höhe e (Fig. i, 2 und 6) des unteren Teiles infolge der kreuzweise angeordneten Einschnitte auf eine geringere Höhe f (Fig. 7 und 8) zusammengedrückt, dadurch das Gewinde in diesem Teil umgestaltet und zwischen Kopf und Mutter eine starke Spann wirkung, sowie an der Schraubenspindel durch die Ungleichheit der Gewindegänge eine starke Klemmwirkung erzielt und hierdurch ein selbsttätiges Lösen der Mutter bei Erschütterungen verhindert.
