Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Trocknen von Kinematographenfilms durch Absaugen des Wassers mittels Luft. Trockenvorrichtungen, bei welchen eine Papierbahn über eine hohle, mit öffnungen versehene und mit Filz überzogene Trommel geführt wird, aus der die Luft abgesaugt wird, sind an sich bekannt. Eine derartige Einrichtung ist nicht ohne weiteres zum Trocknen für Filmbänder anwendbar, da die Schichtseite des Films in feuchtem Zustande leicht verletzlich ist. Zweck der Erfindung ist deshalb, eine Einrichtung zu schaffen, bei welcher das Wasser auch von der Schichtseite des Films so abgesaugt wird, daß eine Beschädigung ausgeschlossen ist.The invention relates to a device for drying cinematograph films by sucking off the water with air. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus zwei Saugköpfen 14 und 19, zwischen denen das Filmband durchgezogen wird. Die Trommel 14 ist mit einem Querschlitz 17 versehen und ihre Oberfläche mit einer Lage aus porösem Gewebe 18 überzogen. Dieses Gewebe soll dazu dienen, das überflüssige Wasser von der Rückseite des zwischen den beiden Saugköpfen durchgeführten Films abzustreichen, ohne die Saugwirkung durch den Schlitz 17 zu beeinträchtigen. Über der Saugtrommel 14 ist der Saugkopf 19 angebracht, dessen untere Fläche 20 abgerundet und mit einem Schlitz 21 versehen ist. Dieser ist kleiner als der Schlitz 17, so daß die Kraft seiner Saugwirkung geringer ist als die beim Schlitz 17, damit die Schichtseite des Films nicht in Berührung mit der Oberfläche des oberen Saugkopfes kommt, sondern nur sehr nahe an ihr vorbeigleitet.
