Description
The invention relates to a method for heat treatment of sawing through austenitizing and down J scare 0, while the blade is immersed in a cooling liquid, and optionally by subsequent annealing.
It is already known to place a saw blade pretreated by heat and quenching in a room to introduce, in which only the area of the saw teeth is exposed to the flame gases of a burner, while the rest of the saw blade is at a temperature below that of the sawtooth area located. The saw blade heated in this way is then cooled by means of hot oil, with the cooling takes place in such a way that the sawtooth area exhibiting the cutting edges, surfaces and points is cooled so quickly that the desired hardening of the cutting edges is achieved, while the rest Area of the saw blade maintains the desired resilient properties (US-PS 13 53 767).
This hardening of saw blades has the disadvantage that the device required for this is very expensive.
It is also known to use workpieces such as saws and the like only in the area of their cutting tools To heat induction coils and to cool the workpiece in the remaining area so that in this area more heat is dissipated than is supplied by the heating with the induction coil. This cooling off takes place by means of cooling blocks that are firmly printed against the unheated workpiece area and that are carried by a transport medium can be flowed through to dissipate heat (OE-PS 1 77 440).
6SThese known measures have the disadvantage that complex device parts are required for cooling, electrical insulating devices must be provided and good surface contact between the cooling blocks and the workpiece must be ensured before each heating. 6 p
The object on which the invention is based is therefore to use the method of the above called type so that it is carried out in a simple manner without special Vorrichuingselemente we'den can.
This object is achieved in the method of the type mentioned in that the saw so far in the coolant is submerged that the saw / teeth flush with the coolant surface or something protrudes from it! and that the surface of the Coolant by exposure to a jet of a heated or a non-heated gas in the Surrounding the saw teeth to be heated is lowered in a concave manner.
The sawtooth tips can be heated by the lamb gases from a burner which at the same time the surface of the coolant is lowered concave.
However, it is also possible to use the sawtooth tips heat by means of an induction coil / u, whereby do Surface of the coolant is lowered concave by exposure to air. The air used can be preheated.
Bei Anlaßtemperaturen von 150 bi.·, 160" C ergeben sich Rockwell-Härten von C 5l) bis C 60, bei Anlaßtemperaturen von 170 bis 200" C I läriegrade von C 57 bis C 58.The inventive method has the advantage that, in a known manner, only the cutting edges are hardened in the desired manner, since the inflated gases essentially only heat the cutting edge areas protruding from the coolant, generally 1 to 3 mm, preferably 1 to 2 mm . After the local heating of the cutting edge, the saw blade is removed from the area of heating by means of flame gases or induction coil as well as the air blowing, whereby the heated area is covered by coolant again to such an extent that the section protruding from the coolant is cooled very quickly to achieve the desired hardening or is completely immersed in the coolant. The inflated gases at the heating socket also prevent steam bubbles from rising in the area of the heated saw teeth. With the method according to the invention, Rockwell tines of the order of C 61 to C 62 can be achieved on the cutting edges. At tempering temperatures of 150 to 160 "C there are Rockwell hardnesses of C 5 l ) to C 60, at tempering temperatures of 170 to 200" C lärie degrees of C 57 to C 58.
The invention is explained by way of example with the aid of the drawings.

Ein Brenner 4 ist bezüglich der Spitze C desAs shown in FIG. 1, a saw blade with teeth 2 is transported through a container 3 filled with water continuously or intermittently in the filing direction in steps corresponding to the tooth tip spacing. As in Fig. 2 can be seen, the tip C of the sawtooth 2 protrudes by the height /; between 0.5 and 2 mm, usually 1 mm. above the water level DE . A burner 4 is with respect to the tip C of the
Die in dem kleinen in der Luft verbleibenden Bereich DEC des Säge/ahns 2 gespeicherte Wärme wird sehr schnell im Material ties Säge/ahns 2 an das Wasser abgeleitet, so daß tue gewünschte Abschreckwirkung und die damit verbundene Härtung des Schneidkantenbereichs erzielt wiro..Sage tooth 2 aligned so that the flame gases emerging from it, which can have a temperature of 800 "C, for example, displace the water in the area of the saw tooth 2 concave to / ti a depth /) ', for example 1 mm, so that the Area AIIC'ucs saw / ahns is acted upon and heated by the flamingases. When the sawtooth 2 is learned from the area of the lamb gases of the burner 4 by moving the saw blade for a while, the AIiDE area of the sawtooth 2 is immersed again in the water, since this area is below the water level / J /. 'The heat stored in the small area DEC of the saw 2 that remains in the air is very quickly dissipated to the water in the material of the saw 2, so that it has the desired deterrent effect and the associated hardening of the cutting edge area is achieved by wiro.
In the case of the in FIG. 3 the tip C 'of the saw tooth is located essentially in the height of the water level. By llammgase from the burner 4 is in the range d r ^ Saw / ahnspitze the water so far displaced that animal range Λ ancestor W 2 is the sawing / the flame gases exposed to the CA would run usually between 0.5 ut \ d 1 , ") mm. The inflation of the Ilaming gases prevents the formation of a vapor cushion around the sawtooth heated by the Ilaming gases.

With a burner 7 with an air inlet IO and a gas duct 8 with air intake holes 9 arranged in the direction of movement of the saw band towards the container 3, lamb gases, ml are used to straighten the saw teeth, which result in a temperature of 150 to 250 Tempered at 1 C, followed by cooling in air.
Die unterhalb der Linie AB gemäß l: i g. 2 und 3 befindlichen Teile des Säge/ahns werden nicht über 4)0 C erhitzt, so daß die Ausgangshärte des Sägebaniles, gewöhnlich eine Rockwell-Härte zwischen C 4h und C 48 beibehalten wird, wobei ein Stahl mit der Zusammensetzung von 0,80 bis 0,90 % C weniger alsThe below the line AB according to l : i g. 2 and 3 located parts of the saw / ahns are not heated above 4) 0 C, so that the initial hardness of the Sägebaniles, usually a Rockwell hardness between C 4h and C 48, is maintained, with a steel with the composition of 0.80 to 0.90% C less than

I ig. 5 and 6, the saw tooth becomes 2 in the area of its tip via an HF generator 21, a transformer 22 and an induction coil 25

Heated for 1 S. The tip C of the saw / ahns 2 protrudes somewhat above the water level, which is displaced in the area of the induction coil 23 by air blown from a nozzle 4u up to a tooth line AU. When the tip C protrudes 1 mm above the water level DE , the depth CA is about 2 mm. After moving the saw blade further, whereby the tip of the sawtooth 2 shown is removed from the area of the induction coil 23, the sawtooth 2 is enclosed by the water up to the DE and quenched, since the heat from the CDE area is very quickly conducted by conduction is discharged. The air blown out of the nozzle 4; i can be preheated. The inflated air displacing the water in the area of the tip of the saw / ahn to a concave surface ensures at the same time that no steam cushions form on the saw / ahn.
In F i g. 7 wird anstelle des Sägeblattes von Fig. I ein Krcissägenblatt 31 verwendet, das um eine Achse 32 drehbar ist. Die übrige Behandlung entspricht derIn Fig. 7 is used instead of the saw blade of FIG Circular saw blade 31 used, which is rotatable about an axis 32. The rest of the treatment is the same as
