The present invention relates to a method for fixing sulfur dyes in printing and dyeing.
Both. hitherto known processes for printing sulfur dyes are shown the disadvantage that the colors do not come up regularly and when washing afterwards fall off the fiber, especially from unmercerized goods. Dyeing with sulfur dyes only succeeds if the fiber has been in contact with the liquor for a long time, as a result of which there is a great deal of reserve of sulfur dyes difficult, impossible on unmercerized goods.
The new process is based on the fact that the sulfur dyes by animal Colloids are precipitable (mutual precipitability of colloidal bodies).
The basic idea of the process is to use the sulfur dyes on the fiber with animal To precipitate and fix colloids. Such precipitation colloids are, for. B. glue, albumin, Casein, etc. The precipitating colloids can be used in such a way that they the Color can be added and in a suitable manner on the fiber the precipitation and fixation of the dye, or that the fiber is impregnated with the colloid and then after the colloid has been fixed, it is colored or printed with sulfur inks.
Man verfährt z. B. für den Schwefelfarbendruck in folgender Weise:. Take the example of using glue with formaldehyde on the fiber is fixed. One proceeds z. B. for sulfur color printing in the following way:
The piece goods are prepared on a hot flue with a glue solution for dark ones Nuances z. B. 1 part glue and 6 parts water or ι part pure gelatin and 15 parts water, on it one prints a printing ink which contains the sulfur dye, a reducing agent and formaldehyde contains, mattifies up to 5 minutes and completes.
Die Druckfarbe hat z. B. folgende Zusammensetzung: 30 bis 100 g Farbstoff, 80 g Lauge, 40 g Soda, 80 g Sirup, 5 g Rotöl, 40 g Formaldehyd mit gelbem Dextrin Y1 auf 11 gestellt.The printing ink has z. B. the following composition: 30 to 100 g of dye, 80 g of lye, 40 g of soda, 80 g of syrup, 5 g of red oil, 40 g of formaldehyde with yellow dextrin Y 1 set to 11.
For completion is recommended z. B. a passage through a warm liquor containing 20 g Contains glue and 3 g of bichromate per liter, and soap baths.
If you want to print sulfur dyes next to ice colors, you prepare with a glue solution, which still contains naphtholate and castor soap. Such a solution has the property not to gelatinize and sulfur pigments only when steaming (short math) to fix.
The rapid dyeing of sulfur dyes is done according to the present process for example in connection with a reserve procedure in the following way:
The piece goods are prepared on a hot flue with a glue solution, formaldehyde was added, and then prints the reserves. The printed goods are colored on the padder with a passage time of 3 to 5 seconds, leaves on an air passage develop and manufacture in warm dilute hydrochloric acid and by soaps.
It is sometimes advantageous to put the goods in a covered vat after the air walk Let the steam go.
If you want to print ice color reserves, you use the glue formaldehyde solution Naphtol, Add lye and castor soap, as stated earlier. In this case there is a matern advantageous for dyeing, or the goods are first prepared with glue formaldehyde solution, ίο then with an ordinary naphtholate broth and colors on the foulard with direct copy, as stated earlier.
The composition of the dye liquor can be similar to that of the printing ink, for example: 30 to 100 g dye, 80 g lye, 40 g soda, 80 g syrup, 5 g red oil, 100 g dextrin Y 1 (possibly 40 g sodium sulphide) made up of 1 liter .
According to the method of patent specification 200298 tissue with colloids, z. B. starch thickening, treated, however, too. the purpose of mechanically supporting the fixing of reserves.
In this case, colloids are applied by means of a finish, but a faster one or better fixation of the sulfur dyes is neither sought nor achieved, since the . Colloids for this have to be precipitated on the fiber, but the finish is easy separates from the fiber.
Furthermore, there is a method of weighing silk by treating it with glue and formaldehyde already described in patent 106958; from this patent specification but it cannot be deduced that the sulfur colors are better on silk prepared in this way than on raise unprepared.
Finally, it is stated in Lehn's Färberzeitung 1906, page 61 that fabric with a stain made of casein and formaldehyde can be coated so on the pretreated Fabrics produced dyes that are as true as possible using acidic or basic dyes can be. Sulfur dyes are not mentioned here, and that is not the case It is less to be concluded from the above that such a pretreatment for this of This could be an advantage as the pretreatment as a stain for the unheated cotton fibers acidic and basic dyes having no affinity is used while It is well known that sulfur dyes do not require a stain for dyeing cotton and that Pretreatment according to the present method only accelerates the drawing process causes.
