Im Fahrzeugbau ist man aber aus Gründen der Gewichtsersparnis stets bemüht, möglichst dünnwandige und somit leichte Profilstäbe zu verwenden. In diesem Fall ist man aber gezwungen, eine möglichst große Anzahl von Befestigungsschrauben in verhältnismäßig geringen Abständen voneinander anzuordnen. Die Befestigungsschrauben werden nicht auf Zug beansprucht und können da her ohne Rücksicht auf die Anordnung der Gitterstäbe und waggonbaulichen Notwendigkeiten in beliebigen, verhältnismäßig großen Abständen voneinander sowie in geringer Stückzahl vorgesehen werden. Das bedeutet eine erhebliche Vereinfachung der Montage.
