Weiterhin liegt die Filtermatte flach auf dem Gitterrost und wird durch den Klemmrahmen mehr oder weniger gleichmäßig in dieser Position gehalten. Die Filtermatte muß also nicht nur genau auf die Größe des Gitterrost-Rahmens zugeschnitten sein, sondern auch genau in diesen Rahmen eingelegt werden, um die gesamte Gitterrostfläche mit Sicherheit abzudecken. Ein ähnliches Filterelement zeigt auch die FR-PS 14 38 478. Hier ist ebenfalls ein Rahmen mit Gitterrost vorgesehen, in den die Filtermatte eingelegt ist.
