Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 20. Dezember 1906 ab. Längste Dauer: 23. Juni 1920.Patented in the German Empire on December 20, 1906. Longest duration: June 23, 1920.
In the descriptions of the main patent 201279 and its additions 204997, 212051 and 212501 show methods for producing long, constantly burning arcs, which z. B. serve to carry out chemical gas reactions at high temperature.
The present method now relates to the use of these arcs for generation high frequency electrical currents.
The use of an electric arc for this purpose is not per se New. So has z. B. E. Thomson showed years ago that an electric arc Emits currents with a high number of periods when a circuit with appropriately selected self-induction and capacitance is placed in parallel with it. However, the currents generated in this way are not very strong; H. from only low energy, and the number of periods of oscillation is only a few 10,000 per Second. To bring about an increase in the vibrating energy and the number of vibrations, Poülsen (D. R. P. 162945) lets the electric arc in an atmosphere of hydrogen or hydrogen-containing gases pass over; but even if this results in a number of vibrations from about 200,000 to 1,000,000 per second, as it is required for wireless signaling, can be achieved - so remains but the alternating current energy generated by the arc is due to the low Arc voltage very low. Also the subdivision of the light when in use strongly cooled electrodes, as it has already been suggested by another party only increase the energy to a certain extent with the same number of vibrations, because here too the arc voltage must always be kept relatively low.
It has been shown, however, that the high-voltage flame arc, like him according to the main patent 201279 and the above Additional patents is generated, e.g. B. using one of the known types of circuit, for the generation of currents with a very high number of oscillations and high energy in is particularly suitable.
So stellt z. B. · The figure represents a typical circuit, which in various ways

It means F the pipe in which the high-voltage flame arc is generated, K a capacitance, L a self-induction and 5 the transmission wire for signaling without wire (telegraphic or telephony). Naturally, all circuits suitable for signaling without wire by means of an electric arc can also be used here.
