Diese Arbeitsweise ist aber nur für Maschiner/mit Zeilenlängen von z. B. weniger als 10 cm mit Erfolg durchführbar. Während über eine nichtgezeichnete Tintenpumpe und eine Zuleitung 6 dem Schreibkopf 3 tinte zugeführt wird, ist zur Ableitung der erwähnten Verlusttinte an die unterste Stelle der hohl geprüften Ringblende 5 ein kurzer Docht 7 angeklemmt, der, abgesehen vom unteren Ende, von einem Schutzschlauch 8 umhüllt ist. Der Docht 7 endet kurz oberhalb einer Tintensammelrinne 9. An dieser Rinne ist ein Drahtbügel 10 eingehängt, über den das Dochtende bei jedem Wagenhub, d. h. kurz nach Verlassen und kurz vor Erreichen der Wagenanfangsstellung hinweggleitet und dabei Tinte abschleudert. Wenn, wie häufig üblich, die Wagenbewegung bis zum Erreichen der Normalgeschwindigkeit einen Beervorhub durchführt,- kann das Abstreifen zur unbedingten Vermeidung von wenn auch geringfügigen Erschütterungen des Schreibkopfs in diese AnlSufphase gelegt werden.
