Die Erfindung betrifft einen einstellbaren, aus zwei aneinander gleitenden Platten bestehenden Fuß für Leitern, Tritte, Fußgestelle u. dgl. und besteht im wesentlichen darin, daß sowohl die einstellbare Platte als auch die in an sich bekannter Weise mit einer Führungsrippe für die Nut der einzustellenden Platte versehene feste Platte mit entgegengesetzt gerichteten schrägen Flächen aneinander ίο aufsitzen. Es wird hierdurch erreicht, daß beide Platten zur Herbeiführung größerer Widerstandsfähigkeit derselben an der Leiter senkrecht angeordnet werden können. Außerdem kann der Schraubenbolzen zwecks gefälligeren Aussehens an dem einen oder dem anderen Fußteil in wagerechter Lage angeordnet werden, ohne daß hierbei eine mit einer schrägen Fläche versehene Unterlagsscheibe für die Flügelmutter erforderlich wird,
