In the case of absorption apparatus; the z. B. to absorb combustion gases for the purpose of For the purpose of analysis, it is important that the absorption liquid, ζ. Β. Potassium hydroxide, is exploited as much as possible. So far this has not been the case because of absorption goes faster near the surface of the liquid than in the lower part. To prevent this and to achieve even absorption, the Liquid, as is known from the mashing process in breweries, mixed in this way that liquid is removed from the bottom of the mixing container and directed to the surface. The invention gives as cumbersome mechanical equipment is not feasible with absorption apparatuses Means at hand to carry out any kind of mixing in the most simple manner and yet to be able to accomplish effectively. For this purpose the device consists of a Mixing vessel, through the wall of which a vertical riser pipe from below to the surface protrudes, which communicates with a second vessel through a rigid or flexible pipe is connected and at the bottom of the leg protruding into the mixing vessel a small one or one provided with a check valve Has passage opening.
Such a device is illustrated in various embodiments in the drawing.
In FIG. 1, α is the mixing vessel, b the vertical riser pipe, which is connected in a communicating manner to the second vessel c by the rigid line β and has the small opening / on the leg d.
Handhabung und Wirkungsweise ist unter der Annahme, daß die Mischflüssigkeit aus Kalilauge besteht, wie folgt:Handling and mode of operation is based on the assumption that the mixed liquid consists of Potash lye consists as follows:
In the vessel α there is potassium hydroxide solution, which is initially up to the mouth of the tube b and has also entered this, so that the lye also assumes the same height in the tube e. To carry out the analysis, a captured gas quantum is slowly pressed through the tube on the lid of the vessel α onto the surface of the potassium hydroxide solution. As a result of this pressure, lye from α is pressed through the small opening f into the pipeline b, d, e , so that the liquid level falls in α , but rises in e and c. As much caustic solution is pressed through the small opening f into the vessel c as there are unabsorbed constituents in the gases. If one suddenly lets the unabsorbed components of the gas, which are located between the lid of the vessel α and the surface of the potassium hydroxide solution, escape, the liquor flows out of the vessel c through the mouth of the tube b in the form of a spray onto the surface of the in the vessel α any lye. The opening f is too small for a significant amount of the liquor to flow back through it during this short time.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from the previous one only in that the riser pipe b is connected in a communicating manner to the second vessel c by a flexible line g. In this way, the vessel c can be given a different height in a known manner and the liquid can flow back and forth without introducing the gas under pressure and letting the unabsorbed gas escape.
■ i überhaupt
von c nach α durchläßt.Finally, in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, in which a vessel c is provided that is constantly higher up, the opening f is replaced by a check valve i , which is accommodated in a special pipe limb h. The mode of operation is exactly that of the device according to FIG. 1, with the difference, of course, that the check valve ■ i at all
from c to α .
