Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein VerfahrenThe present invention relates to a method
zur Wiedergewinnung der sich der Luft des Arbeitsraumes bei Erzeugung von Celluloid, rauchlosem Pulver, Kunstseide usw. beimengenden Alkohol-, Äther- oder Acetondämpfe.for the recovery of the air of the working area with the production of celluloid, alcohol, ether or acetone vapors admixing smokeless powder, rayon, etc.
B. von Wasser, wiederzugewinnen; die diesbezüglichen Versuche haben jedoch keine ge-It is known to absorb vapors of the type mentioned with the help of inert absorbents, z. B. of water to recover; however, the relevant attempts have not
ίο werblich brauchbaren Erfolge ergeben, weil
Praxis keine Einführung gefunden, und zwar infolge großer praktischer Schwierigkeiten.ίο result in successes that could be used for advertising purposes because far too considerable amounts of water had to be introduced into the work process and, in the case of particularly strong dilution of the vapors to be absorbed, especially soleher "- of ether and acetone with air, it seemed practically impossible to use these vapors on the proposed To absorb or regain ways.
. Sulfuric acid and also oils and fats have also been proposed as absorbents for ether vapors, etc., the latter in particular for the recovery of the vapors mixed with air in the manufacture of artificial silk. These methods have not found implementation in practice because of great practical difficulties.
The use of sulfuric acid as an absorbent is not advisable because of its strong corrosive effect. It also attracts water from the air very quickly, which causes the absorbency is considerably reduced.
The use of vegetable oils stands in the way of the fact that they are not reused often can be. The latter evil is to be sought in that of recovery of the alcohol, the oil must be heated strongly, which is done after three to four repetitions a blackening and thickening of the oil has the consequence, so that it is for absorption purposes becomes unusable.
The fats have the same disadvantages as the oils, only this increases their use makes it difficult for the fats to have to be heated in order to keep them liquid. But this will the absorption capacity is significantly reduced.
The method forming the subject matter of the invention is now based on the in-depth Experiments established the fact that the higher-boiling members of the alcohols of the fat series, such as propyl, butyl, amyl alcohol, etc., as well as their derivatives, such as butyl acetate, Butyric acid, etc., generally also the products of the spirit distillation referred to as "tailings" have such a strong absorbing effect on alcohol, ether and acetone vapors that with the help of the above-mentioned absorbents one economic recovery of volatilized alcohol, ether and acetone in the large from the air of the work rooms concerned is made possible.
According to its essence, the present process consists in the fact that those with alcohol, Air laden with ether or acetone vapors with liquids of the type mentioned, which absorb strongly on these vapors " work, brought into intimate contact and
durch genötigt wird, ihren Gehalt an Alkohol, Äther oder Aceton an die betreffende Absorptionsflüssigkeit abzugeben.is compelled by its content of alcohol, ether or acetone to the relevant absorption liquid submit.
Behufs Verdeutlichung der praktischen Durchführung des vorliegenden Verfahrens sei hier der Einfachheit halber angenommen, daß als Absorptionsflüssigkeit für die wiederzugewinnenden Dämpfe mehr oder weniger reiner Amylalkohol für sich allein verwendet werde, undIn order to clarify the practical implementation of the present procedure, let us here for the sake of simplicity assumed that as the absorption liquid for the recoverable Vapors of more or less pure amyl alcohol are used on their own, and
Ganz in derselben Weise könnte man aber auch behufs Wiedergewinnung von Acetondämpfen verfahren.ίο about vapors of ethyl alcohol and ether to regain. But in exactly the same way one could also for the purpose of recovery of acetone vapors.
Die zu behandelnde Luft wird behufs Ermöglichung einer stufenweise vor sich gehenden Absorption der in ihr enthaltenen Dämpfe mittels Ventilatoren durch eine Reihe f von Kammern gejagt oder gesaugt, in denen Zerstäuber unter hohem Drucke (ähnlich denThe air to be treated is used to enable a gradual process Absorption of the vapors contained in it by means of fans through a series of f of Chased or sucked chambers in which atomizers are under high pressure (similar to the
To simplify matters, it is assumed that there are only two chambers. These spaces can have any shape, e.g. B. be designed as corridors, towers, etc.; they just have to be set up that way be that the droplets of the absorption liquid can get anywhere and the air can remain in contact with the absorbent for a sufficient period of time.
The amyl alcohol as such or with a certain amount of ethyl alcohol and water mixed is atomized in the first chamber, through which the air passes, as long as until he has absorbed sufficient amounts of ethyl alcohol and ether. When the liquid is saturated to this point appears, it is transferred to the stills to be mentioned below and replaced by an amount of absorption liquid coming from the second chamber, which already contains small quantities of alcohol and ether, as explained below will. This latter quantity of liquid will now take place in the same way as it did with the earlier one is, atomized in the first chamber and, after reaching saturation, also into the still convicted.
Man läßt die Absorption nicht so weitThe second chamber, which leads into the free atmosphere, is fresher or still unused absorbent liquid, d. H. Amyl alcohol or other higher boiling points Alcohols, which can be mixed with ethyl alcohol and water, charged. This freshness Liquid draws the last traces of ether vapor, which are still in the air, per se. The absorption is not allowed to go that far
Advance £ 0 until the Amyl alcohol is weakened too much; as soon as the latter z. B absorbed 1 to 2 percent ether he must be transferred to the first chamber and replaced with fresh amyl alcohol in the second chamber to be replaced.
When the liquid in the first space is saturated, i. H. when according to the external temperature Containing 8 to 10 percent ether and ethyl alcohol, the mixture will, as before mentioned, transferred to the stills, of which two different types of action can be used.
In one type of apparatus, the mixture is heated up by means of a steam coil to a temperature at which all the ether and a part or the excess of the Ethyl alcohol evaporates while as little as possible of the amyl alcohol and others heavy-boiling products are removed. The distillation process takes place in the apparatus of the second type instead of heating by applying a vacuum, the pressure reduction is chosen so that the whole Ether and most of the ethyl alcohol are driven off, while amyl alcohol and the higher boiling liquids remain in the bladder as residue.
It should be noted that the absorption capacity of the amyl alcohol for the recovered Substances is stronger, the lower the temperature of said alcohol is; it will therefore be advantageous to effect the distillation using vacuum, because the temperature of the liquid residues is continually lowered while one each time heat is applied to carry out the distillation, the amyl alcohol has to cool down before using it again.
The residue from the distillation is in any case as fresh absorption liquid to be used in the second chamber while the distillation products, d. H. the ethyl alcohol and ether, as far as necessary, are rectified in ordinary column apparatus can. Instead of several condensation chambers, a single chamber of Use correspondingly large dimensions, but you would always have to use the whole set of subsequently destil-Heren absorbing liquid. Recovery or distillation the acetone vapors absorbed by the absorption liquid take place in exactly the same way as it does for the alcohol and ether vapors have been discussed above.
To increase the condensation or absorption of the vapors of alcohol, ether or acetone One can favor the air laden with such vapors before it enters the condensation chambers pass through a cooling chamber.
