Description
The invention relates to a fluorescent mixture for fluorescent screens in Abtasi tubes. It is already a hybrid fluorescent material for a cathode ray tube, preferably for light beam scanning. has been proposed (German Offenlegiingsschrift! 2 035 25S), which consists to more than Wr of an yttrium silicate phosphor which is activated with terbium. and whose amount of activator is IO 'to 10 1 Ci. The yltrium silicate should preferably be used in the form of the orthosilicate activated with 3-valued terbium.
Hei trying with a scanning tube with a Fluorescent screen made of this material showed that the blue-green fluorescent substance has a very short decay time and has a favorable light output. When this tube is used for scanning color films, however, it has been found that the emission spectrum of the new phosphor / u contains little red, so that for the derivation of an electrical Sif nalkomponenle for red light too little energy is available. The consequence of this is that the signal-to-noise ratio is less favorable in the red channel than in the other channels. It is the object of the invention to provide a phosphor that has this Does not have any disadvantage.
Because of the extremely short afterglow of the yttrium silicate, it is not possible to add any known red-emitting phosphor as a mixed component and to produce a luminescent screen from this mixture, because dragging would be observable on fast moving objects in the television picture; z. B. If the red component is too long afterglow, a red tail would appear on moving edges. Yttrium silicon fluorescent substances / for the conversion of ultraviolet radiation into visible light are already known, in which yttrium or mixtures with lanthanum, furthermore terbium, erbium or europium were used. On the other hand, it is known to use bej luminous screens for Liehipiüiklabtastgeräle with trivalent Cd activated Yllriumaluminat / u, the z. B. from 1h.S g yttrium oxide, 20 g aluminum oxide and 11.4 1 Jg cerium oxide is made. For light point scanning is! also known with activated yttrium aluminum, to which calcium aluminum silicate is added to achieve a stronger blue content.
Das Yttriumaluminat ist vorzugsweise Orthoaluminat (Y1AKO,,).The fluorescent mixture for scanning tubes, which contains only cerium-activated yttrium-alumina, according to the invention also contains an yttrium silicate activated with 10 to 10 percent by weight, the proportion of which in the fluorescent mixture is 40 to 50 percent by weight, preferably 20 to 30 percent by weight. The yttrium aluminate is preferably orthoaluminate (Y 1 AKO ,,).
The red emission of yltrium aluminate is very high strong, so that a proportion of 20 to 30 percent by weight is sufficient to get a mixed fluorescent material / u that is also in the red channel of a film scanner TV signal to gain allowed, its signal-to-noise ratio that of the others! Cannula corresponds.
