Description
The invention relates to a phosphor mixture for luminous channels in scanning tubes. A phosphor mixture for a cathode ray tube, preferably for light beam scanning, has already been proposed (German Offenlegungsschrift 2 035 258). which consists of more than 90% of the yttrium silicate phosphor, which is activated with terbium, and the amount of activator is 10 ~ 3 to 10 ~ 5%. The yttrium silicate should preferably be used in the form of the orthosilicate activated with trivalent terbium.
In tests with a scanning tube with a fluorescent screen made of this material, it was found that the blue-green fluorescent substance has a very short decay time and has a favorable luminous efficacy. When using this tube for scanning color films, however, it was found that the emission spectrum of the new phosphor contains too little red, so that an electrical signal component can be derived too little energy is available for red light. The consequence of this is that the Sigrml-noise ratio is less favorable in the red channel than in the other channels. It's the job the invention of specifying a phosphor which does not have this disadvantage,
Es sind bereits Yttriurosilikat-Leuchtstoffe zur Umwandlung ultravioletters Because of the extremely short afterglow of the yttrium silicate, it is not possible for any to add known red-emitting phosphor as a mixed component and a fluorescent screen to produce this mixture, because fast moving objects can be observed in the television picture would be; z. B. with too long afterglow red component on moving edges red tail appear. They are already yttriurosilicate phosphors to convert ultraviolet
Zum anderen ist es bekannt, bei Leucutschinnen für Lichtpunktabtastgeräte mit 3wertigem Cer aktiviertes* 5 known radiation in visible light when soft Yttrium or mixtures with lanthanum, also terbium, erbium or europium were used. On the other hand, it is known that Leucutschinnen for light point scanning devices with trivalent cerium activated
ao Yttriumaluminat zu verwenden, das z. B. aus 16,8 g Yttrium-Oxyd, 20 g Aluminium-Oxyd und 0,49 g Cer-Oxyd hergestellt ist. Für Lichtpunktabtastung ist auch mit Cer aktiviertes Yttrium-Aluminat bekannt, dem zur Erzielung eines stärkeren Blauanteils mitao to use yttrium aluminate, the z. B. from 16.8 g Yttrium oxide, 20 g aluminum oxide and 0.49 g cerium oxide is produced. For light point scanning is also known with cerium activated yttrium aluminate, which is used to achieve a stronger blue component
»5 3wertigem Cer aktiviertes Calzium-Aluminiurn-Silikat zugesetzt ist.»5 trivalent cerium activated calcium-aluminum-silicate is added.
The phosphor mixture for scanning tubes, which contains cerium-activated yttrium aluminate, according to the invention also contains a 10 -3 to 10 " 5 Ge
Das Yttriumaluminat ist vorzugsweise Orthoaluminat (Y2Al2O6).3% by weight of terbium activated yttrium silicate, the proportion of which in the phosphor mixture is 40 to 80 percent by weight, preferably 20 to 30 percent by weight. The yttrium aluminate is preferably orthoaluminate (Y 2 Al 2 O 6 ).
The red emission of yttrium aluminate is very strong, so that a proportion of 20 to 30 percent by weight is sufficient to obtain a mixed phosphor that also enters the red channel of a film scanner To win television signal allowed, whose signal-to-noise ratio corresponds to that of the other channels.
