Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 23. August 1907 ab. Patented in the German Empire on August 23, 1907.
Leaving dinitrostilbene disulfonic acid or dinitrodibenzyl disulfonic acid in an alkaline solution act on the sulfonic acids of amino monoazo dyes, so valuable Dyes, which are characterized by their extraordinary affinity for cotton fibers as well as by distinguish their excellent fastness properties. Depending on the choice of applied Starting materials one obtains dyes from orange, orange-red to brown Nuance. The reaction time and temperature also have an influence on the depth of the nuances.
Sie unterscheiden sich in ihren Echtheiten,In patent 117729 are azo dyes described by diazotization of the condensation product of 2 mol. Nitrotoluenesulfonic acid and 1 mole of p-phenylenediamine and combination with azo components will. They dye cotton in orange, brown to brown-violet shades. These products are of the dyes described here in terms of their chemical structure completely different. As a result of their mode of formation, they are included in the terminal Component an auxochrome group, while this is not the case with the new dyes The case is because in the condensation of dinitrostilbene disulfonic acid with aminoazo bodies the amino group of the latter enters into bond with a nitro group. The consequence of this different constitution is that also in terms of dyeing technology, the dyes of present invention can in no way be regarded as analogues of those of patent 117729. They differ in their authenticity,
Die Farbstoffe der Patentschrift 117729 werden bei der ChI or Weiche vollständig zerstört, während die neuen Produkte durch ihre hervorragende Chlorechtheit ausgezeichnet sind.especially in the lightfastness, and very important because of their behavior towards chlorine from each other. The dyes of patent 117729 are at ChI or Weiche completely destroyed, while the new products due to their excellent chlorine fastness are excellent.
Just like the dyes of patent specification 117729, those developed on the fiber behave Dyes of patents 113514 and 100613. Those developments are chemically related completely analogous to the dyes of patent 117729 and show the same bad light and chlorine fastness as those. The procedures of patents 100613, 101760 and 105057, 113514 refer only on condensation with amines. From this no conclusion could be drawn about the behavior of Aminoazo bodies are drawn, which are cleavable and their amino groups in reactivity and properties differ greatly from those of simple amines. Also is the result the procedure is entirely different. You only get with the amines used there yellow dyes which either have little color strength like the derivatives of simple amines or how those of the diamines are very sensitive to acids. The main advantage of the new dyes lies in their nuance, their intensity and absolute chlorine and acid fastness.
i. 47,4kg dinitrostübendisulfosaures Natrium werden mit 32,7 kg Sulfanilsäureazo-a-naphtylamin in 500 1 Wasser und 50 kg Natron-i. 47.4kg of dinitrous sodium disulfate are with 32.7 kg of sulfanilic acid azo-a-naphthylamine in 500 l of water and 50 kg of soda
leicht, in Spiritus kaum lösliches Pulver. In konzentrierter Schwefelsäure löst er sich mit
trüber, blauvioletter Farbe. Er färbt Baumwolle in orangeroter Nuance an.
" 2. 47/1 kg dinitrodibenzyldisulfosaures Natrium
verfahren. Der Farbstoff ist ebenfalls eincaustic 40 ° Be. dissolved and heated to boiling for 3 to 4 hours. It is neutralized with mineral acid and the dye is precipitated with salt. 'When dry, it is a brown powder that is easily soluble in water and hardly soluble in alcohol. It dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a cloudy, blue-violet color. It stains cotton in an orange-red shade.
"2. 47/1 kg of sodium dinitrodibenzyldisulfosaures are heated to the boil for 4 to 5 hours with 32.7 kg of metanilic acid azo-anaphthylamine in 500 l of water and 50 kg of sodium hydroxide solution 40 ° Be. The rest of the procedure is as in Example 1. The dye is also a
15' braunes, in Wasser leicht, in Spiritus fast unlösliches Pulver. In concentrated sulfuric acid it dissolves with purple color. He dyes cotton orange-red.
In Example 1, sulfanilic acid azo-a-naphthylamine is replaced by 45.7 kg of 2-naphthylamine - 3 · 6 - disulfonic acid azo - α - naphthylamine and If one proceeds as there for the rest, one arrives at a dye, cotton, dark brown colors. It is easily soluble in water with a brown color, insoluble in alcohol. It dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-violet color.
If, in Example 1 instead of Sui fanilsäureazo - a - naphthylamine 32.7 kg Benzolazo-a-naphtylaminsulfosäure-Cleveland, the result is, other things being equal, also an orange red dye. This product dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue color and otherwise shows the same properties as the dye 3S of Example 1.
When using 32.1 kg of metanilic acid azo-m-amino-p-cresol ether instead of the sulfanilic acid azo-anaphtylamine used in Example 1 one obtains, under otherwise the same circumstances as there, after 2 to 3 hours of heating to the boil, a dye is obtained which Cotton dyes orange. In concentrated sulfuric acid it dissolves with blue. Colour; otherwise it shows properties analogous to those of the orange-red dyes of the preceding ones Examples.
