Abstract

A pipe sleeve fitting joins two plastic pipes. The fitting consists of a bush (3) which is inserted in the end of a pipe fitting (31) and a connecting fitting (33) held together by a surrounding nut (1) and an elongated metal clamping ring (2). The ring metal ring has a conical surface (22) which locates in a matching detent (35) in a sleeve nut (3). The nut (3) also has a conical surface (13). The assembly is press fitted into the plastic pipe. One or both sides of the clamp ring (2) especially has a larger-diameter rim (21) with an outer conical surface (22) which locates in a matching detent (12) within the nut.

Claims (1)
