Abstract

The clip has a partitionable skin support plate containing a space for fixing and holding the tick between its body and hypostom. A standard cold spray (1) based on e.g. tetrafluoroethane is sprayed onto the tick via a flexible tube (2) connected to the space in which the tick is held, so that the tick is killed by freezing it to ca. -55 deg.C.

Zecken sollten immer schnell entfernt werden. Wichtig ist die Vermeidung früher angewandter Verfahren wie z.B. das Beträufeln mit Öl oder Nagellack. Die Verwendung von Pinzette, Skalpell oder wie auch empfohlen der Fingernägel, ist bei einer lebenden Zecke doch meist ein Problem. Unbedingt vermieten werden muß ein zerdrücken oder quetschen der Zecke. Mit der Klammer zur Entfernung von Zecken durch Vereisung wird, wie in Fig. 3 der Zeichnung, (Klammer geöffnet) die Zecke fixiert.Ticks should always be removed quickly. Fig. 1 zeigt die Klammer durch Federdruck 3 im geschlossenen Zustand. Dabei befindet sich die Zecke mit Leib und Hypostom zwischen der Aussparung 6 der Hautauflageplatte 7. Mit einem handelsüblichen Kältespray 1, z.B. auf Basis von Tetrafluorethan, wird die Zecke durch ein flexibles Rohr 2, daß wie in Fig. 2 durch die Aufnahme 4 mit der Klammer verbunden wird, durch kurzes besprühen sofort auf ca. -55°C abgekühlt, hartvereist und abgetötet. Mit der Pinzetteneinrichtung 8 kann die nun locker sitzende Zecke, auch kleinere Exemplare wie z.B. im Nymphenstadium, leicht aus der Haut gezogen werden.Fig. 1 shows the clamp closed by spring pressure 3. Claims

1. Clamp for removing ticks by freezing, which has a recess 6 in a divisible skin support plate 7 for fixing and collecting ticks between the body and the hypostome.

2. Clamp according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the clamp has a receptacle 4 for fixing a flexible pipe 2.

3. Clamp according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamp has a tweezer device 8.

4. Clamp according to protection claim 1, characterized in that the clamp has spacers 5 in the closure gap of the skin support plate.
