Abstract

The fastening arrangement is such that the gas generator can be fastened by means of a nut and bolt. The bolt is formed on the gas generator and extends through an opening of a holder component which can be fastened to a part of the vehicle to hold the air bag module. Electrical insulation (23) is arranged between the gas generator (15) and the holder part (17). The electrical insulation may be, for example, a body (23) of electrically insulating material extending at least over the contact region between the gas generator (15) and the holder part (17). This has an extension which engages through the opening of the holder part (17) and forms an insulation between the bolt (18) and the edge of the opening. A sleeve of electrically insulating material may also be provided between the nut (22) and the surface of the holder part (17) on which the nut is located.

Claims (10)

1. Befestigungsanordnung für ein Airbagmodul in Kraftfahrzeugen, wobei der Gasgenerator mittels wenigstens eines an ihm ausgebildeten und durch wenigstens eine Öffnung eines der Halterung des Airbagmoduls dienenden, an einem Fahrzeugteil befestigbaren Halteteils hindurchsteckbaren Stehbolzens und darauf aufgeschraubter Schraubmutter befestigbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zwischen Gasgenerator (15) und Halteteil (17) eine elektrische Isolierung (23, 24, 26) angeordnet ist.1. Befestigungsanordnung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als elektrische Isolierung eine sich wenigstens über den Kontaktbereich zwischen Gasgenerator (15) und Halteteil (17) erstreckende Schale (23) aus einem elektrisch isolierenden Material angeordnet ist, die mit wenigstens einem Ansatz (24) die Öffnung (30) des Halteteils (17) durchgreift und eine Isolierung zwischen dem Stehbolzen (18) und dem diesen umschließenden Öffnungsrand des Halteteils (17) bildet, und daß zwischen der auf den Stehbolzen (18) aufgeschraubten Schraubmutter (22) und deren Auflagerfläche auf dem Halteteil (17) eine Buchse (26) aus einem elektrisch isolierenden Material angeordnet ist.2.
