Carrying strap, especially for windows and window frames

The invention relates to a carrying strap adapted to a hand reaching through it, in particular for windows and window frames, which can be fastened with its lower end in a carrying position to the window or window frame by means of a screw or a hook or eyelet attached thereto, close to the floor.

The carrying straps, which are already known from DE 89 06 204.3 Ol and are designed as a handle loop, are usually attached to both sides of a window frame or window and, after transport, are either removed again or left on the frame and plastered into the wall opening.

The distance from the ground for screw insertion is designed to compromise between the size of the beam and the gradient of the transport path, whereby a large beam usually holds its frame side higher than a small one, which therefore has more to hold and carry. Also when carrying up a staircase, the lower beam usually has to bear more load than the upper beam.

It is an object of the invention to provide a carrying strap which enables a more favourable load distribution between the supports of a window or window frame.

The solution is that the carrying strap is continued from the first handle loop into a forearm handle loop.

Advantageous embodiments are specified in the subclaims.

The presence of two carrying straps of different lengths allows the smaller wearer to carry the frame in a roughly horizontal position and thus with roughly equal load distribution by using the smaller loop when the larger wearer uses the larger one as a hand strap. The smaller wearer can also use the larger strap loop as a forearm strap and thus relieve the elbow and wrist by passing the strap around the elbow instead of the wrist, with the hand preferably gripping the smaller hand strap.

Since the two loops are suitable for a smaller or larger carrier, determining the fastening height on the window frame requires a moderate compromise by lowering the fastening center of gravity. For each carrier size, there is an opening at a suitable height with sufficient clearance between the frame and the ground and the carriers in an upright position, which is important for gentle strain on the joints and muscles.

When folded, the smaller handle loop measures approximately 25 to 30 cm in length and the larger one measures approximately 50 to 60 cm in length, with a width of 15 to 20 mm and a structure and thickness corresponding to that of a roller shutter strap.

The smaller and larger handle loops can lie next to each other, or the smaller loop can be folded into the larger one, with both loops penetrated at their origin by the screw or hook attachment.

Another variation is to form the smaller loop in the lower section of the larger one by sewing it off approximately halfway along its length or by riveting, stapling or similarly connecting it.

Fig. 1 shows a lower section of a window frame 1, to which the carrying strap with a smaller handle loop 3 and a handle loop 4 approximately twice as long is attached with a screw 2 to match the carrying height of a smaller carrier. The strap 3, 4 is folded in the area of the attachment 2 from one loop 3 to the adjacent loop 4, with the large loop 4 being attached to the window frame 1 in a direction oriented towards the screw 7. Preferably, the large loop 4 is additionally wrapped with a rubber band 5, held on the small loop in its upper loop area so that it does not tilt downwards in an annoying way when engaging with the smaller loop 3.

Fig. 2 shows a second variant of the carrying strap, in which the small loop 30 is folded between the ends of the large loop. Here too, it is recommended to use a rubber band 5 to pull the large handle loop 40 onto the loop end of the small loop on the side of the window frame 1. The large loop can also be folded in and held low by the rubber band 5 and pulled out if necessary.

Fig. 3 shows a third variant of forming a handle loop 31, 41 at a short and a long distance from the frame fastening 2, by connecting the upper end of the small handle loop 31 directly to the longer handle loop 41 through a fixed connection 6 of the two strap strands, whereby the length of the loop closest to the fastening is also used.

Depending on the type of frame material, a wood screw or a drilling screw is used to attach the loops. If holes have already been pre-drilled in the frame, it is advisable to attach a hook 7 to the bottom of the loops, as shown in Fig. 3. The two strap ends 9, at least one of which is folded over the eyelet 70 of the hook 7, are connected to one another by a seam, a clamp 9, a rivet or the like. The stepped hook 7, which is made of wire, can be removed from the frame hole again so that the loops can be reused. If, as is already known, there is a screw in the frame for attaching a carrying eyelet, the known carrying eyelet is attached to the strap.

Fig. 4 shows the use of both loops with a forearm UA passing through the longer loop 4 and the hand H through the smaller grip loop 3, with the thumb D resting on both lower strap ends. Thus, part of the load of the window frame 1 is transferred directly through the longer loop 4 to the slightly bent upper arm OA.

Carrying strap, in particular for windows and window frames, which is to be fastened with its lower end in a carrying position to the window or window frame ( 1 ) by means of a screw ( 2 ) or a hook ( 7 ) or an eyelet ( 70 ) attached thereto, characterized in that the carrying strap is continued from the first handle loop ( 3 , 30 , 31 ) in a forearm handle loop ( 4 , 40 , 41 ). 2. Carrying strap according to claim 1, characterized in that the smaller handle loop ( 3 , 30 ) is folded continuously with the larger handle loop ( 4 , 40 ) from a webbing. 3. Carrying strap according to claim 2, characterized in that the smaller handle loop ( 3 ) is folded next to the larger handle loop ( 4 ). 4. Carrying strap according to claim 3, characterized in that the screw ( 2 ) or the hook ( 7 ) is guided through the two handle loops ( 3 , 4 ) or is fastened to them in such a way that the larger strap loop ( 3 , 4 ) borders on the window frame ( 1 ). 5. Carrying strap according to claim 2, characterized in that the smaller handle loop ( 30 ) is folded between the large handle loop ( 40 ). 6. Carrying strap according to claim 1, characterized in that the smaller handle loop ( 31 ) is created as part of the larger handle loop ( 41 ) by a connection ( 6 ) at approximately half the length of the same. 7. Carrying strap according to claim 6, characterized in that the connection ( 6 ) is made by a transverse seam, rivets or a clip. 8. Carrying strap according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the smaller belt loop ( 3 , 30 , 31 ) is approximately 25 to 30 cm long and the larger belt loop ( 4 , 40 , 41 ) is approximately 50 to 60 cm long. 9. Carrying strap according to claim 1, characterized in that the screw ( 2 ) is a wood or drilling screw. 10. Carrying strap according to claim 1, characterized in that the hook ( 7 ) made of wire is cranked in a step-like manner and an eyelet ( 70 ) which is attached to the carrying strap is bent thereto.
