Die O-Ringe drehen sich bereits nach kurzer Betriebszeit mit, werden gestaucht und gleichzeitig gestreckt - d.h. sie verformen sich und verursachen erhebliche Undichtheiten und Störungen im Ablauf der pneumatischen Steuerung auch durch Beeinflussung der benachbarten Kanäle bzw. Jeweils auf den Nutgrund werden nebeneinander zwei übliche O-Ringe (1), z.B. 171 &khgr; 1,5 eingelegt. Darüber wird der eigentliche Rotordichtring (2) angeordnet. Diese weist einen rechteckigen Querschnitt auf und besteht aus einem PTFE-Kohle-Compound.
