Description

The invention relates to a furniture part according to the preamble of claim one and a piece of furniture with such a furniture part.

Furniture parts that consist of coated panels are known from the prior art. Coated panels offer the advantage that they can have a decorative layer. The decorative layer is usually arranged on one of the surface sides of the coated panel. In this way, a desired visual impression, for example that of a wood grain, can be created by means of the decorative layer, while the core of the panel, to which the decorative layer is applied, consists of a material that is inexpensive and/or has certain desired properties.

However, with regard to the type of visual impressions that can be achieved, there are limits to furniture parts made from such coated panels and furniture with such furniture parts. This applies in particular to the creation of spatial impressions using the decorative layers.

The invention is therefore based on the object of showing a furniture part and a piece of furniture with such a furniture part, which enable novel optical effects and thereby use the advantages of decorative panels.

The task is solved by a furniture part and a piece of furniture with the features of the independent claims. The features of the dependent claims relate to advantageous embodiments.

The furniture part consists of a coated panel. The plate in turn has a decorative layer on one of its surface sides. The plate also has a core to which the decorative layer is applied. The decorative layer is visually different from the core.

The task is achieved in particular in that the plate has millings on the surface side with the decorative layer. In the cutouts, the decorative layer is removed right down to the core, so that the core is visible in the cutouts.

It has been shown that interesting optical effects can be achieved in panels of the type in question through millings in which the material is removed right into the core and the core is thereby visible in the area of the millings. Even with a small depth of the cutouts, a spatial impression of the surface can be achieved in combination with the optical contrast between the cutout and the decorative layer.

In this context, the plate can in particular be a high-pressure laminate plate. Such panels are also referred to as HPL panels (high pressure laminate) or as decorative plastic laminates (DKS). Such laminated panels are particularly suitable for the present invention, since exposing the core by removing the decorative layer is comparatively problematic with such panels if environmental influences affect the core.

The high-pressure laminate board can have paper as a component. Layers of paper can be impregnated comparatively easily with resins. This allows particularly dense and durable laminated panels to be produced.

The high-pressure laminate board can have melamine resin as a component. Impregnation of the laminate with melamine resin results in good weather and light resistance. In addition, melamine resins have a high surface hardness and scratch resistance.

The cutouts can be designed as strips. A number of cutouts can run parallel to one another. This way you can create a striped pattern. Strip-shaped cutouts running parallel to one another give the visual impression that the areas between the cutouts have been applied. For example, the decorative layer can imitate a wood structure. In conjunction with the appropriate arrangement of the cutouts, an optical impression of parallel wooden slats can be created.

The cutouts can extend in their longitudinal direction over the entire surface side. In this way, the impression of applied battens can be further enhanced. In particular, the cutouts can run at regular intervals from one another. In particular, adjacent millings run at identical distances from one another. In this way, the viewer's association with wooden slats attached to the piece of furniture is evoked to a greater extent.

The designations can have a depth of at least 1 mm and/or at most 2 mm. It has been shown that milling in this depth range is sufficient to produce the desired optical effect and on the other hand, not to weaken the plate excessively mechanically through the milling.

The cutouts can in particular have a width of at least 4 mm and/or at most 8 mm. Millings of this width are particularly suitable for creating the impression of parallel wooden slats.

The core can have a darker tone than the decorative layer. In this way, the core visually fades into the background.

The furniture has a furniture part of the type described above. The furniture can in particular be a box piece of furniture. In the case of such a box piece of furniture, the furniture part can in particular be part of a front of the furniture part and/or part of a door of the furniture. The optical effect can be presented particularly prominently.

The furniture can in particular be garden furniture and/or outdoor furniture. A significant advantage of the furniture or furniture part described is that an appearance can be created that suggests the use of materials other than those that were actually used. For example, using extremely weather-resistant panels, such as high-pressure laminated panels made of paper soaked in melamine resin, a piece of furniture can be created that visually gives the impression that wooden slats have been processed.
