Abstract

Sorting insert for an outer packaging, in particular a folding box or an outer packaging tubular film, which is formed from a flat cardboard blank (I, II, III), wherein a base (1) and two longitudinal side walls (2) are delimited by folds (11) preferably arranged parallel and spaced apart from one another characterized in that the longitudinal side walls (2) have a second end section (4) at each end on both sides of a first bottom end section (3), the first and second end sections (3, 4) being set at an angle to two transverse side walls arranged opposite one another complement each other and are connected to each other in a form-fitting manner.

Description

The invention relates to a sorting insert for an outer packaging, in particular a folding box or an outer packaging tubular film, which is formed from a flat cardboard blank (I, II, III), with a base (1) and two longitudinal side walls (2) by folds preferably arranged parallel and spaced apart from one another (11) are limited.

In the packaging sector, for example in the confectionery sector, sorting inserts are used to protect the products and to position them at a distance from one another so that they do not damage one another. Such sorting inserts are regularly made of plastic. Various cardboard solutions have been found in the past (cf. e.g. DE 9316616 U1 , E9200107U); however, these could not prevail. One reason for this is the higher production costs compared to plastic.

This is where the present invention comes in. The invention is based on the object of providing a cardboard sorting insert which is formed from a flat cardboard blank and can be manufactured more cost-effectively.

With the invention, a sorting insert made of cardboard is provided, which is formed from a flat cardboard blank and can be produced inexpensively. The fact that the longitudinal side walls have a second end section at both ends on both sides of a first bottom end section, with the first and second end sections complementing one another at an angle to form two transverse side walls arranged opposite one another and being connected to one another in a form-fitting manner, manufacture is made possible solely by a folding process. Advantageously, the longitudinal side walls extend from the floor at an angle of greater than 90° and are set against the floor. The sorting insert is preferably folded from the flat carton blank without the use of adhesive. In an embodiment of the invention, the inner surfaces of the two transverse side walls are essentially formed by the first end sections, with the second end sections bearing on the outside of one of the first end sections. In this case, the second end sections preferably have, on their side facing the floor, a tab which engages in each case in an inwardly folded projection arranged between a first end section and the floor. In this way, a stable form-fitting connection is achieved by simply folding the flap into the exhibition. The stability of the form fit can be significantly increased in that the tab has at least one undercut which engages behind the first end section in the area of the display.

The exhibitions on the bottom fulfill two tasks: On the one hand, they are used for the form-fitting attachment of the tabs of the second end sections by simply folding them in, as a result of which they are stably connected to a first end section. On the other hand, they act as stacking cams on which another stacked sorting insert rests, making it easy to remove.

In another embodiment of the invention, the inner surfaces of the two transverse side walls are essentially formed by the second end sections, with the first end sections lying on the outside of the second end sections. In this case, at least one first end section preferably has two tabs at the end, of which one tab in each case engages in an engagement of a second end section angled inwards. The stability of the form fit can be significantly increased in that the tab has at least one undercut that engages behind the respective engagement.

In a further embodiment of the invention, at least one first end section has only one lug at the end, which encompasses the two second end sections lying against it. An additional connection of the two second end sections is achieved because the two second end sections lying against the first end section are jointly encompassed by the one tab of the first end section.

Alternatively, the second end sections can also each have a tab on their side facing away from the ground, which engages in an engagement of the first end section at an angle to the outside. Here, too, a stable form-fitting connection is achieved by simply folding the tab into the respective recess.

In a further embodiment of the invention, at least one first end section has a tab at the end, which encompasses the two second end sections resting thereon. This achieves a connection that encompasses the second end sections, as a result of which the stability of the side wall formed by the two second end sections is increased.

In a further development of the invention, two inwardly folded projections are arranged between the base and the first end section, one projection of each of which engages in a recess made in a second end section. This further increases the stability of the fold. In addition, stacking cams are formed by the exhibitions, which improve the stackability.

In an embodiment of the invention, at least one separating web is arranged on at least one longitudinal side wall for the purpose of dividing it into a plurality of filling chambers. A plurality of separating webs are preferably arranged, which are positioned in pairs opposite one another or offset from one another.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the separating webs are formed by projections folded inwards in an L-shape from a side wall and the base. This achieves a seemingly filigree but equally stable separation. In each case, two oppositely arranged separating webs are preferably designed to widen conically in the direction opposite to the bottom.

In a further embodiment of the invention, each separating web is arranged in front of a recess made in the respective longitudinal side wall merging into the base, the recess being wider than the separating web and projecting beyond it on both of its transverse sides. This allows a separating web of a sorting insert to engage unhindered in the recess of a further sorting insert stacked in this sorting insert, with the separating webs avoiding snagging on one another.

In a further development of the invention, the longitudinal side walls, starting from the bottom, widen conically and are placed on the latter. This further improves the stackability. The separating webs of two sorting inserts stacked one inside the other can thus rest against one another.

In an embodiment of the invention, there are two inwardly folded exhibitions on both transverse side walls which are arranged spaced apart from one another between these walls and the floor. As a result, steps are formed, which further increases the stackability of the sorting insert. Several sorting inserts in a stack are spaced apart from one another by the step, making them easy to remove.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the distance between the two projections of a transverse side wall is different from the distance between the two projections of the opposite transverse side wall. By stacking sorting inserts rotated by 180 degrees relative to one another, it is possible to prevent the steps from catching on one another. A level cannot interfere with the exhibition formed by a level.

The selected as an embodiment according to sorting 1 is formed from a flat cardboard blank I, like the one in 2 is shown. It comprises a base 1, on the longitudinal sides of which a longitudinal side wall 2 is placed via a first fold 11 at an angle of 110°. A first end section 3 is delimited on each of its two transverse sides via a second fold 12 . First end sections 3 are folded upwards in the direction of the two side walls 2 over the second folds 12 . In the exemplary embodiment, the first end sections 3 are essentially rectangular.

On the longitudinal side walls 2 there are second end sections 4 at both ends, which are each delimited by a third fold 21, over which they are folded in the direction of the respective opposite side wall 2 and bear on the outside of a first end section 3 in each case. In the exemplary embodiment, the second end sections 4 are of essentially trapezoidal design. The first end sections form the inner surfaces of the side walls of the sorting insert.

Connecting the base 1 with a respective first end section 3, there are two exhibitions 5 which are folded inwards at a distance from one another. The two second end sections 4 each resting against a first end section 3 each have a tab 41 with an undercut on the bottom side, which is folded into a respective projection 5, engaging behind the corresponding first end section 3, whereby the second end sections 4 are form-fitting and each have a first end section 3 are connected. The exhibitions 5 are in the cardboard blank in 2 in each case delimited by two cuts 51 arranged parallel to one another and are issued at right angles to the inside via a second fold 12 during the folding process for producing the sorting insert.

In the longitudinal side walls 2 , spaced apart, rectangular recesses 22 are introduced that extend into the base 1 . Connecting the narrow sides of each recess 22 is a separating web 6 in the form of an inwardly folded, L-shaped exhibition. In each case two oppositely arranged separating webs 6 are designed to extend conically upwards.

The recesses 22 are in the cardboard blank I in 2 each formed by two parallel, narrow rectangular slots 221, between which the separating webs 6 are delimited, which are exhibited in the folding process for producing the sorting insert via fourth folds 61 inwards in an L-shape.

When sorting according to in 3 In the illustrated embodiment, the first end sections 3 are folded behind the second end sections 4, which form the inner surfaces of the side walls of the sorting insert. On its upper side facing away from the base 1, two tabs 31 are arranged at a distance from one another on the first end section 3.

In this exemplary embodiment, the second end sections 4 are of essentially rectangular design and almost abut one another. On their upper side facing away from the base 1, the second end sections 4 each have an engagement 42 provided with an undercut, into which a tab 32 of the first end section 3, also having an undercut, engages.

Between the bottom and the two first end sections, two inwardly folded projections 5 are arranged, one projection 5 of which engages in a bottom recess 43 made in a second end section. In the exemplary embodiment, the distances between the two exhibitions 5 on the opposite transverse sides of the floor 1 are chosen to be different. The cardboard blank II for this sorting insert is in 4 shown.

When sorting according to in 5 A wide tab 32 provided with undercuts is arranged on each of the first end sections 3 positioned behind two second end sections 4 arranged on one transverse side and is folded over both second end sections 4 . For this purpose, the two second end sections 4 each have a transverse side on a common engagement 44 extending over both end sections 4, which is provided with an undercut on both sides and in which the wide tab 32 of the first end section 3 engages. The cardboard blank III for this sorting insert is in 6 shown.

Sorting by claim 1 , characterized in that the inner surfaces of the two transverse side walls are essentially formed by the first end sections (3), the second end sections (4) resting on the outside of one of the first end sections (3).
