Abstract

a container (102) for collecting 40-60 ml of purified water, wherein a plurality of ingredients is added to the purified water, the plurality of ingredients comprising: 30-70% Nyctanthes arbor tristis extract, 0.01-1% methyl paraben , 0.05-5% Gum Acacia, 9-20% Glycerin, 0.2-1% Orange Oil, 0.1-1% Aroma, 1.0-2% Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is added to the container to prepare the handwash composition; and
an agitator (104) connected to the tank (102) for agitating and mixing the plurality of ingredients in water to produce the hand wash composition.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to the field of manufacturing antimicrobial herbal handwashes. In particular, the present invention relates to an apparatus for producing an antimicrobial herbal hand tonic from Nyctanthes arbortristis Linn. (Hewali Phool).

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Due to the recent increase in the number of infectious diseases, the need for handwashing and personal hygiene protects us from numerous fast-spreading and deadly diseases.

Various types of hand detergents are commercially available. These hand washes contain active ingredients, sulfates, parabens and other chemicals that are not suitable for all skin types and may cause side effects or other skin allergies.

KR101196113B1 discloses a composition for making hand washing detergents containing herbal extract, anhydrous ethanol, aloe vera gel, hyaluronic acid, purified water, grapefruit seed extract and a herbal oil cleansing composition made of essential oils.

KR20100078777A discloses a quick antifungal handwash composition containing 4-chloro-3-methyl-phenol in an amount of 0.1 to 2% by weight, the honey extract content is 0.1 to 2% by weight.

JP2007308495A discloses the foam quality of an antimicrobial handwash composition containing a phenol-based active component when the composition is used as a foam, wherein an aliphatic amine derivative having a nitrogen atom that binds to at least 1 but ≤2 propionic acids and/or a polyethylene glycol derivative or a polypropylene glycol derivative of a quaternary ammonium salt of an aliphatic amine capable of dissolving at least part of the active component.

US20150073051A1 discloses an antimicrobial composition comprising, based on the total weight of the antimicrobial composition, about 0.1% to about 2% by weight of a cationic antimicrobial agent selected from the group consisting of lauric alginate and benzalkonium chloride, about 1% to about 10% by weight of two or more nonionic surfactants selected from the group consisting of glucoside alkyl ethers and poloxamers. from about 1% to about 10% by weight of two or more nonionic surfactants selected from the group consisting of glucoside alkyl ethers and poloxamers, based on the total weight of the antimicrobial composition; from about 0.1% to about 5% by weight, based on the total weight of the antimicrobial composition, of an amine oxide; and one or more preservatives selected from phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerol, hexylene glycol, caprylyl glycol and mixtures thereof.

The prior art mentioned above discloses the use of either active and chemical ingredients or the use of some herbal extracts for the manufacture of a handwash. However, none of the above prior art discloses Nyctanthes arbortristis Linn. (Hewali Phool).

Natural medicines play an important role in healing due to their diverse therapeutic effects and fewer side effects. Flies and insects are carriers of many diseases. The aerial parts of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis have been reported to have potent antibacterial properties against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is a large shrub, up to 10 m tall, with scaly gray bark, stiff whitish hairs, young twigs and rough leaves. The flowers are fragrant, with a corolla of five to eight lobes of white with an orange-red centre; they appear in clusters of two to seven together, with individual flowers opening at dusk and ending at dawn. The calyx is 6-8 mm long, narrowly bell-shaped, hairy on the outside, glabrous on the inside, truncated or vaguely toothed or lobed, ciliated. The corolla is glabrous and more than 13 mm long; the tube is 6-8 mm long, orange in color, about the same length as the limbs; the lobes are white and unevenly obovate and cuneate. The leaves are opposite, simple, 6-12 cm long and 2-6.5 cm wide, with entire margins. The fruit is a flat, brown, heart-shaped to spherical capsule, 2 cm in diameter, with two sections, each containing a single seed. These are long and broad, obovate or nearly spherical, compressed and bifid. The seeds are proteinaceous, the seed coat is thick, and the outer layer of large, transparent cells is highly vascularized. The flowers are used as stomachic, carminative, astringent for the intestines, diaphoretic, expectorant, hair tonic, in the treatment of hemorrhoids and various skin diseases, and in the treatment of eye diseases. The juice of the leaves is mixed with honey and given three times a day to treat coughs. A paste of leaves is administered with honey to treat fever, high blood pressure and diabetes. The juice of the leaves is used as a digestive, antidote to reptile venoms, mild bitter tonic, laxative, diaphoretic and diuretic. The leaves are also used for spleen enlargement. The juice of the leaves is used to treat loss of appetite, hemorrhoids, liver and bile ailments, intestinal worms, chronic fever, persistent sciatica, rheumatism and fever with rigor. The extracted juice of the leaves has a cholagogic, laxative and mild bitter tonic effect. It is given to children who are low in sugar as a remedy for intestinal problems. In several cases it has been found to be effective in malarial fever. The decoction of the leaves is used extensively by Ayurvedic practitioners to treat arthritis, intractable sciatica, malaria, and intestinal worms, as well as a tonic, cholagogue, and laxative. The seeds are used as an anthelmintic and for alopecia. It has a viscous and expectorant effect and is also useful in bilious fever. The powdered seeds are used to cure scaly scalp conditions, hemorrhoids and skin diseases. Despite the relatively widespread use of this plant as a remedy for rheumatic pain, very little is known about the scientific basis for such use.

Therefore, there is a need to develop an apparatus for preparing an antimicrobial herbal hand wash from Nyctanthes arbortristis Linn. (Hewali Phool) to develop.

The technical advance disclosed by the present invention overcomes the limitations and disadvantages of existing and conventional systems and methods.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to an apparatus for preparing an antimicrobial herbal hand tonic formulation.
