• A.: Die aus dem (Diamant-)Knoten am Kinn entspringende Schlaufe stößt an die Halsunterseite (Luftröhre), wenn die Zügel vom Reiter angezogen werden und das Huftier wie gewünscht locker im Genick nachgibt. Dadurch ist eine feine Hilfengebung (Anweisung des Menschen, was das Tier tun soll) nicht mehr möglich: das Pferd/Huftier erfährt Druck an der Luftröhre, den es vermeiden will und in Folge nicht mehr, wie gewünscht, locker im Genick nachgibt. Meinen Tests zufolge ist dies nicht nur bei Pferden/Ponys mit einem Stockmaß bis 1,50m, sondern auch bei größeren Pferden der Fall.
• B.: Zur lateralen/seitlichen Zügeleinwirkung ist auch eine seitliche Anbringung der Zügel sinnvoll, da ansonsten die gesamte Zäumung seitlich verrutscht und im schlimmsten Fall dem Tier am Auge Schmerzen bereitet. Deshalb gibt es zur seitlichen Anbringung der Zügel bereits Knotenhalfter, bei denen in den seitlichen Knoten des Nasenteils Ringe eingearbeitet sind. Derartige Metallringe haben aber zwei entscheidende Nachteile: 1.) Sie stehen seitlich vermehrt ab und stören das Sichtfeld des Tieres. 2.) Viele Pferde/Tiere wehren sich gegen Metall in ihrem Gesichtsbereich, vor allem, wenn der Zügel mittels eines Metallkarabiners am Metallring befestigt wird. Denn diese baumeln in der Bewegung bei jedem Schritt in das Gesichtsfeld und an den Kopf des Tieres. Auch ist es je nach Arbeitsweise und Ausbildungsstand des Tieres oft hilfreich, wenn die Zügel/Bodenarbeitsleine auch an einigen anderen Stellen rund um den um die Nase führenden Teil anzubringen wären, wie es beispielsweise bei einem Kappzaum oder Caveson/Cavesson/Ceveçon der Fall ist.

For this reason, rope halters are already available for attaching the reins to the side, in which rings are worked into the side knots of the nose part. Such metal rings have two major disadvantages: 1.) They protrude more and more to the side and interfere with the animal's field of vision. 2.) Many horses / animals defend themselves against metal in their face area, especially if the rein is attached to the metal ring with a metal carabiner. Because these dangle in the movement with every step in the field of vision and on the head of the animal. It is also often helpful, depending on how the animal works and the level of training, if the reins / ground work line also had to be attached to some other places around the part leading around the nose, as is the case, for example, with a cavesson or caveson / cavesson / ceveçon.
